    Good morning and thank you for the reply.

    If you have not done so already, could you try doing a cleanboot? Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

    Good morning, and thank you!

    Cleanboot seems to partially work. I was able to get into the title screen on DX9 (I didn't try actually logging in.) I closed the game out, re-logged in and tried it on DX11, but got Fatal DirectX Error 1100000f (I think that's the right number of zeros) and it crashed. Historically DX11 has been a problem on this laptop for FFXIV, even though I'm running the most recent version of DX12 and my video card supports it.

    I'll see if I can't figure out what it was that was causing the conflict - there are only three things cleanboot disabled - Bing Wallpaper, Windows Delayed Launcher, and Windows Security Notifications. It must have been at least one of those.
