    Monk Demolish skill debuff

Hello everyone. Just curious how much damage are we losing if we renew demolish at the same time as twin snakes instead of reapplying it every other two rounds?

I am loving monk but the challenge for me always is that twin snakes and demolish not being on the same duration disrupts my flow. I do not have the best of reflex and memory so having to keep looking at my demolish debuff among all the boss mechanics is frustrating for me.

So every 6 cycles you'd do 3 demolishes and 3 Snap Punches instead of the usual 2 and 4. Assuming you hit the positionals on those, that'd mean every 6 cycles (or ~35ish seconds) you'd miss out on 180 potency. Certainly not the end of the world, but over the course of an 7.5 minute fight that'd be ~2340 potency, or roughly a Phantom Rush, Elixir Field, and Phoenix Rising combined's worth of potency.

It'll take some practice to get it down. I recommend fighting a training dummy with your UI hidden (either through the game or just place a piece of paper over your hotbars) and just do it for a few minutes until you can do it by simple muscle memory. Believe in yourself!

wow you are a very positive person haha. I am choosing between remaining monk or changing to ninja this expansion.

I love all the changes on all the jobs in EW especially ninja and monk. Monk finally has that finisher that I have been looking for ever since I started playing it. Before it felt like we are just punching and kicking without anything else haha.

I use a different way for the monk rotation. I use the positionals (even the removed one) and play at a rythm of positionals. With this i don't need to watch the enemy debuff and my buff bar. I can just ignore them. With this it was for me more easy to follow the rotation. Here an example with the rythm:

    side side rear
    rear rear side
    side side side
    rear rear rear
    side side side
    rear rear side

Without this was i could not play the monk since watching 4 bars (my skillbar for oGCDs), the job gauge (to see when i have 4 chakras), my buff bar and the enemy debuff bar is too much for me.

Yea my problem is when at bosses and trying to mind the mechanics I tend to get lost suddenly and have to look up constantly if I am going to do demolish instead of snap punch after twin snake haha. So in a lot of fight I just end up simplifying and doing twin snakes and demolish on the same set. haha
