I have people in my FC defending third-party programs to avoid AFK'ing and someone in my friend-list staying inside his Barracks for hours and hours, but you want your ''definitive proof''.

Why are the housing instances clogged during non-peak hours? The simplest answer is usually the correct one.

Though they would gain something being IN their house, opposed to being somewhere else. That gain is them being able to use their bot/macros in privacy, without the chance of people reporting them.

Sure they do. Less visibility and chance at detection.

They dodge the risk of doing so in a public area and getting reported by other players for suspected automation. The people breaking ToS aren't typically going to do it in broad daylight.

I guess that could be right. I mean, you can't actually report people for anything other than RMT activity and nothing's going to happen to them anyway, but I could buy that they might be operating by this logic. I can't think of any activity that would be popular inside houses at expansion launch anyway, I just couldn't think of a reason the dodgers would go there specifically either.

You cant right click and report except for rmt. You can still fill out an actual report for cheating through the help desk in game.

Alright, looks like we need to have random server restarts, afk kick timer set to 2 minutes, and a 3 hour playtime allotment. After this, the problems should be solved!

You'd still have to actively monitor player search like some kind of stalker, and make a flimsy report guessing they're automating in your report.

While the alternative of reporting someone who has been standing in the exact same spot in limsa for 14 hours probably isn't going to do something, that AFK bypasser is going to get a lot more reports than someone in a private residence.
