When are you going to fix the RANDOM DISCONNECTS?

It is so weird that some people get constantly disconnected, while others can play all day just fine.
In my case, I've only got the 90006 error once, and that was when my internet connection was crap, so it was not just the game.
Other than that, I've been able to play everyday for at least 7-10 hours continuously without a single dc.

Is this not related to ISP or some network route?

I'm sure it's related in some way to everyone's individual connection, however it's a new phenomena starting in EW, so it must be related to the server issues as well.

Nah, likely has nothing to do with endwalker, and more just more people playing, so more people for the disconnect to happen to.


Just some faulty node in the route, or unstable connection somewhere. I haven't dc'd once since endwalker dropped.

This issue has become a daily occurence for me, where I'm randomly booted from the game with a 90006 error. It happens most when I'm in a Zadnor instance for some reason. I see a lot of people DC over there aswell. Also during Praetorium MSQ, I get booted like 2-3 times during cutscenes. It's frustrating.

Every time I got 90k errors it had to do with my WiFi not being in an optimal position and my connection to the Chaos servers being bad in the first place. I've always had these errors. I'm not dismissing anybody's problems or anything, just sharing the times I would get 90ks. When I would switch to hotspots my WiFi -> laptop connection would become stable, and I'd never get DCed.

Another day another disconnect to the lobby, wasn't even on the game more than 20-30 minutes, not counting last night kicked back to the lobby. If this doesn't get fixed, then I will request a refund. I paid 6 months in advance a few weeks ago. I can't play the game worrying that I am going to be kicked any second and have to fight another 1-3 hours just to get back online for a few minutes and have to log off for work.

This is beyond stupid, I can care less about the free game time, you are wasting my time, waiting in queue twice per day when we should not be kicked or if nothing else you should be saving our place to log right back in.

This game badly needs disconnect protection similar to what World of Warcraft has. If you get disconnected, it remembers you for a few minutes and lets you back in without having to wait in a queue.

I have a feeling that the ultimate solution to the login queue problem will be at least 9 months away at the earliest, possibly into 2023 before they get the new servers.

If everyone gets a 90k at the same time, it definitely means the issue is on the server side. (This actually happened to Primal only a few days ago -- the bulk of the instance servers crashed all at once, so everyone in a duty at the time across the datacenter got 90k'd simultaneously. And then we were stuck in limbo for two hours.)

But 90k's happening that aren't simultaneous and universal doesn't rule out the possibility of it being a server-side issue. To use mathematical logic statements, "If A then B" doesn't necessarily imply "If not A then not B". Or, to put it another way "absence of proof is not proof of absence."

I personally suspect the 90k issue is caused by a variety of things, and some may be player-side and some may be server-side, so anyone trying to track down a single cause for 90k's is going to be frustrated and disappointed.

Your personal beliefs are wrong. Plenty of threads about 90ks in the support section and peoples personal check over their connection to show its their internet. The lobby issue is the only problem not specifically tied to a players internet, in game disconnects that are not effecting the whole server are internet related.

To everyone your internet connection runs along a series of network nodes on its way to SE servers. If one of those nodes gets congested or farts side ways causing interruption you lose your connection to the server. There is nothing SE can do about it they don't own the nodes.

This isn't personal belief, it's logic. (And I mean this in the 'mathematical proof' sense of logic, to be clear.)

Yahallo posed the question of "it can't be a server problem if it isn't everyone disconnected at once, right?" Which, no, is not right.

If everyone's disconnected at once, it proves it is a server issue, yes. But if only certain people are disconnected, or people are individually disconnected rather than all en masse, that does not prove that it isn't a server issue. (In fact, it doesn't prove anything, period. It might be a useful data point, but "not everyone is disconnected at once" doesn't prove or disprove the theory that there might be a server problem.)

To put it another way, "if it has fur, it's a mammal" might be a true statement, but that doesn't mean "if it doesn't have fur, it's not a mammal" is.

Now, where personal belief enters into things is that I personally believe the 90k issue is a combination of things rather than any one issue; some may be local internet issues, some might be issues along the route from a home connection to Square's servers, and some might well be some edge case on the servers causing disconnects. But those are just theories. And "people aren't all disconnecting at exactly the same time" doesn't prove (or disprove) any of those theories, even if "people are all disconnecting at exactly the same time" would in fact prove the issue was on Square-Enix's side.
