Because it can be. I have a wired 1gb connection and my connection is "Excellent" per the what the client says. Never experienced any d/c. It's just funny how you think a persons internet connection has no affect on the connection.

Where did I say that? They blamed the person's problems on wifi which the person went on to say they aren't using.
I've had no issues outside of PotD, and honestly I fixed that by running my coax cable from my modem directly into the wall instead of through the surge protector I have. May regret it down the line, but I read that it can cause network interference and I'm tired of being dropped, especially during dungeon runs.
Maybe just try to eliminate everything that could interfere with your connection?

I just had this bug happen. Network is fine on my side. Logged out to lobby without warning.

Yep. If we had some actual information to go off of we might be able to offer some suggestions. As it stands though...they seem to be opening up their thread every day just to complain, which ultimately solves nothing if they are doing nothing otherwise.

not saying SE is blameless, the login servers have obvious issues and so forth
but, honestly, this is like a real life example of that joke...
person prays to god for a lottery win, needs it for virtually everything thats wrong in their life. goes on for months, then years. finally gets fed up and goes into a church and is cursing god out for not delivering a winning ticket.
a vast voice rings through the church.."meet me halfway... BUY A TICKET"
in some cases this seems the same, make sure its not an issue on your end, then you can actually say you did all you could, not sure why people wouldnt... seems irresponsible
I was knocked out of doing an active dungeon where i waited almost 15 minutes before it started. I feel for my dungeon teammates that wonder why I disappeared and couldn't get back in because the queue wouldn't allow me to quickly log back in.

I've been disconnected in dungeons, just checking my retainers, teleporting from one zone to another or across Ul'dah, Limsa, or Old - New Gridania. And each time I've had to go back into a queue, which in the last few days has been around 2.5-3k long during peak hours. Off peak it's better, but not by much. That's why I've given up on the Duty Finder and grouping with other players. All I do now is the MSQ and Trust parties - when I can stay on long enough to do so. It has been a very frustrating couple of weeks indeed.
PS: I'm on hard-wired ethernet, and I'm getting very fast throughput on everything, so it's not an issue with my end or network.

Happened to me 2 times, inside the potd, now I'm in the 4k queue, i logged back after 3 seconds because the problem is not mine but theirs-> the game throws you out randomly.
Square Enix this is ridiculous !! I was in the game with a group activity going on
p.s. I play via cable, no wifi, the game says my connection is great.
Just got disconnected four times the past hour.
