Parsers is fully legit to use as they doesnt affect the game in any way. What IS bannable though is harrashment of other players, which telling them they are bad due to low dps etc. on parsers is.

Unfortunately, the social scene in this community has changed quite a bit. Parsers are gaining more acceptance along with FFLogs. Plugins are seamlessly integrated into the game with Dalamud, and FFLogs has become an insurmountable community staple in the raiding scene. Streamers and the influx of raiders from World of Warcraft have promoted these new additions, and so people are more brazen than ever. To them, plugins and parsers aren’t the forbidden fruit, they’re normal. They’re what FFXIV is supposed to be about. The game is just changing, and until Square Enix puts a stop to it (removing the battle log would be a quick solution), it will continue by the will of the players.

Hate to break this to you. People been Parsing since ARR. It was in the community then nothings changed.

Parsers - unlike mods that change gear appearance or whatever - DON'T modify the game code; they just read the data being sent to the client and tabulate it.

Still technically a TOS violation, but as far as anyone can tell, nobody's been banned ONLY for parsing.

Advertising you're going to use it in PF is saying you'll use it to scrutinise others that join. The thing SE doesn't want people doing. You wish to use your Abacus great, fab, I like writing math on a sheet too...
