Ouch, yeah I can definitely imagine our current issues aren't giving you, a new player, a very good first impression. I do hope it won't permanently ruin the game for you, as there is a lot of amazing content to enjoy in FFXIV. SE, or more accurately, Yoshi P and his team are trying to do whatever they can to resolve the current issues, for better or worse effect it's had so far, results seem mixed, with some datacenters seemingly showing improvement while others not.

As for updates, may want to keep an eye on the lodestone, they seem to post whenever they've got new developments, even if I don't believe there's a real ETA on things.

Also, to some others of you posting.. do you really need to argue in circles again about the same things you've done in like 10 different threads already?
