It’s meant to be a bit more uplifting other then the music that played there originally, which I liked but people thought was kind of depressing, which fits the absolutely depressing place Ultima Thule is.
And since it’s an active zone with Fates, two dungeons and I assume hunts, people are gonna be spending a lot of time there. So they want to remind the player that you prevailed. Rather than being reminded that you are in a place of dead civilizations.
But I agree with you. I’m not gonna be spending too much time there because it’s a very emotional place for me.
I enjoy the music; it fits the story perfectly. I can see they were wanting to do an "upgraded" la hee with it.
The problem is it doesn't melt into the backround as la hee once did. It does *not* sound like something to chop wood by.
Maybe a lyric version should only occasionally play, but the same audio track without lyrics could play a majority of the time? I have no idea what the solution is, but I don't want the track to go away but I also can't handle it on repeat.

I like the new song. The old one I kept taking of my headset because I thought there was an alarm going off.
I vastly prefer the instrumental version as background music.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
