As much multiverse shenanigans that Marvel have it wouldn't be that hard.

Also Square Enix and Marvel still have that multi year/ multi game deal going. It wouldn't be that hard to slide it over for a limited time event like Garo or Yokai Watch events.

Honestly why not. The best part about crossovers is they are FUN, and not always meant to be sensible. I love the ones in Monster Hunter for example. They always manage to be great and are harmless fun that bring players back for content.

It sounds like it’d make for an awkward mix. With previous crossovers they had deeply Japanese ties - from Nier to Dragon Quest. Why Avengers when you can have another popular JRPG instead?

And I do agree with the earlier statement - I think Avengers would be right at home with games such as Fortnite.

WHAT, they are fun. I love it when we get introduced to something new I've never heard of. Dragon Quest brought in so much interest for the series for new players. I also really liked the Garo event because before it came I never heard about Garo, and I ended up really liking it. Avengers are also popular in Japan. Maybe not as popular as here, but I know for a fact that there is a fanbase over there. I remember Scarlet Johanson making several trips to Japan pre pandemic. They absolutely would do well to do a crossover. After all why would Square have any interest in Marvel if they couldn't sell it to both Japanese and American audiences? It wouldn't make sense.

Meanwhile, this game has reused things from older FF's for a huge part of the game, doesn't it any less fun
but it certainly makes things less 'original'.
