Except while your trying to still sell for 10 mil we are making money selling it for 8 mil your the sucker i made 8 mil and you made nothingYou're still the sucker, because you could have gotten the same result by just selling it for 9.999.000
Besides you think you're the only one undercutting. You undercut to 8 mil, then someone else undercuts to 6 mil and then you get the guy who thinks prices are way too high and wants to be generous to the buyers: starts selling it for 2 mil
Ofcourse you still want to get rid of your items so you undercut that guy again and sell your items for 1.5 mil
and repeat.![]()

Here's a good suggestion. If you are buying something and you are among the group of people who hate undercutters just buy the higher priced item that is more in line with what you believe to be the fair market value. However if you are buying up mats/gear and you purchase the bargain priced items you don't have a leg to stand on.
The way undercutting thrives is that people will buy at the lowest available price, then again why wouldn't they?
That being said I only undercut by maybe a few hundred gil unless I see obvious extortion pricing going on.
Just your friendly neighborhood elezen
LOL like that's ever going to happen.
The people who complain about undercutting have this ridiculous double standard where they expect to have the easiest and best solution every time. They're okay with buying the cheapest item because it's the first on the list and they save money, but they also want to never have to re-list their items, for their items to go fast, and to get more for them than their market value.
By the way, I'm still waiting for one of you anti-undercutter loudmouths to challenge me on this point.LOL like that's ever going to happen.

We can give examples of how we all make money in the current economy until we are blue in the face. Thats not the point. Its not RMT that is threatening the economy, its regular people deciding to bot because they can't be bothered to actually play the game as intended and spend the hours actually leveling DoL and DoH. I'm not worried about people not being able to make money, I'm worried about people not playing the game anymore and discouraging new players from playing it as it was intended to be played.

Yeah but instead of undercutting if everyone kept the price around the same (like 1 gil under isn't gonna make or break the market thats fine) then everyone would be making good money and its all win win. The more people undercut the lower the price drops and faster...
but on my server I see people selling stuff for 200gil when everyone else has them up for 5k and last sale 5k. Those kinds do hurt themselves unless they enjoy having 200 gil fast instead of 5k >.>

Its a free market. I always undercut by a lot because I want my stuff to sell faster.
My favorite responses are the people who say SE shouldn't allow undercutting
In XI, I crafted, gathered, and undercut.
In XIV I craft, gather, undercut, and will continue to do so, because I can. As said before my stuff moves and I get to list more stuff. Bottom line
undercutting can be fine......
some ppl undercut that much-i just buy theyr stuff and sell with win to NPC,mwahahaha
