However, I think 2 points partially excuse the login problems in NA, and other things prove this to not be true.
SE couldn't have foreseen the humongous growth of FF14 in the NA/EU regions this past few months. Also, the inability of practically anyone to acquire bespoke MMO servers is another problem they can't control.
On the other side, SE has done many things that cater to mostly an NA/EU centric point, these beings things like bunny suits for men, the recent 6.0 changes making many items be both for men and women, and in some small way maybe even male viera. These things weren't as fervently asked for by the JPN (in the cases of the first 2), and mostly by the NA playerbase, and thus SE complied.
To think they treat JPN DC preferentially isn't true - in most cases it is just a matter of communication between their NA counterparts, what those counterparts choose to raise to the JPN developers, and such. In addition, when people say the JPN don't want the Oceanic players around them, this is probably a miscommunication of culture. Japanese don't like not being able to communicate, not only b/c it is needed at times, but also because it can be personally embarrassing to have a lack of skills (English). Thus, they don't dislike playing with non-Japanese speakers b/c they dislike those players - it is more a matter of saving face, I think.
Anyways, just hoping that there isn't a lot more anti-Japanese type of post and all because it is somewhat distressing since there really is no basis, that I can see, for it at all^^
