Valid complaints that SE has absolutely no power to resolve because the OCE servers that they ordered last spring are not being delivered until February 2022: The queues. It sucks. They know it sucks. It is a perfect shitstorm of suck. And they can't do much about it, not so long as everyone wants to play at the same time.

All the complaints are valid!

But SE only has the direct power to fix one, maybe two of them, although they can't stop all disconnects because sometimes it really is your internet. (Thanks, Charter.)

I've yet to see a company give a 25% reduction in players monthly sub fee, in compensation for game issues.

So yeah, call me what you want, but at least I'm able to see the effort they're putting in, above my own selfish need to play a dang video game.

My whole issue is this: The ques are one thing. But consistantly dealing with 2002 lobby server errors is beyond ridiculous. First few days are one thing. You expect some hiccups to occur but we're beyond this already or you'd hope so. There's no valid reason for this to be an issue anymore and there's nothing that SE can tell me that will justify it. I'm tired of logging in, letting the queue roll while I go take care of some other necessities only to come back to a 2002 error because they still can't get the world servers/data centers stable enough to hold a line of people. See I believe they knew this was coming and did nothing to mitigate the issue. Like where's your head?

And let me say this-I generally let things roll off of my back when it comes to stuff like this. I'm not complaining for the sake of it. Again, I realize that people want to play and that entails a long queue. I can deal with that. I don't want to have to babysit my place in line though. It's beyond any logical reasoning that this continues regardless of population and you can't convince me that the servers being crowded is the cause of lobby server errors. That's bassackwards logic. I get they can't just increase world population size just to accommodate the influx of players and I'm fine with waiting if their intention is such but they can make the lobby stable in the meantime. Follow me?

It's the 2002's that are the problem. Having to babysit a queue for hours is asinine and this is all on SE...you shouldn't have to worry about having to restart your hours-long queue if you need to do things like get food, go to the bathroom, take a shower, etc.

At least if the 2002s weren't a thing I could reasonably expect to get on after a certain amount of time. I crashed, which ended up putting me in a 2700 queue. Ok, that's fine, so I go to wash dishes and come back to a 2002 now I'm in a 3200 person queue.

The 2002's are the one huge thing that I would think SE should feel pressured to address and fix. Despite the dev posts, there's been work shown that it has nothing to do with packet loss. It's all in the log-in servers code and theoretically should be able to be fixed. Errors/Bugs are definitely a valid critique that SE should be taking seriously.

Long queue times? Can't be helped. Server hardware not available? Can't be helped.

Actual errors in the code? CAN be helped. That should be what everyone should focus on. Without 2002's, a good number of people would be perfectly fine to sit and wait their turn, if they knew that when it was up they could actually play.
