Currently, these buffs only add a gathering attempt if you're already done one or more attempts. If you use it before that, you just lose 300 GP.

It's especially annoying when you're using quick gathering because you have to switch out of quick mode, hit the node once, then apply the buff, then turn quick gathering on again, or click through the remaining hits.

Please, let these buffs just add one gathering attempt at the start, even if we haven't used any yet.

You have to deplete one to add one. After the first hit, it goes to, say, 75%. Use a Solid Reason and it goes back to 100%. If you used it before the first hit, what would it go to?

If you had 4 hits to start with, using it should just give you one more, making it 5, like the additional attempt location buffs.

True but they might be better off rewording the tooltip. Saying that it adds a gathering attempt is misleading. It would be better to say something like it replenishes a consumed gathering attempt.

Agree with the both of you. It is fine as it is. But can use a better tooltip.

It should say it restores a gathering attempt. That should be clear enough to indicate you have to spend a gathering attempt first.
