What does it matter? It's not like you can't convert them anyway. If anything, all u/u gear shouldn't accumulate spiritbind points unless they plan on implementing a system to convert them down the road.
I think people missed the principle behind letting us convert Ifrit/Moogle weapons. Say you're doing a run, and you get a duplicate. Instead of going the "Oh man its a duplicate, better let it drop," if the weapon you own has max spiritbond, you can convert it to a level IV materia and then take the fresh new drop. You'll get something out of it instead of letting it fall.
Same thing goes for people who have just accumulated too many totems, what else are they going to do with 10+ totems when they're 7/7 on weapons?
figured everyone would understend SB and wouldnt have to put "Convert to Materia" since its the same thing >.>... but yes they do convert to the new materia. I never saved any extra ifrit/mog weapons because at the time u were not able to SB them but now im gettin dupe garuda drops and i cant convert them ><
its not the same thing, I have 100%spirit bond on a lot of my gear that is not converted. Even in the info it will say convertible or not convertible.figured everyone would understend SB and wouldnt have to put "Convert to Materia" since its the same thing >.>... but yes they do convert to the new materia. Spirit bond is what you need to do before you convert the gear.
