Queue Complaint Megathread

It's becoming hard to get through all these posts when there is a new post about it every other post in the general forum.

I'll start with my complaint. I'm 3705 in line, and I'm sick. My strength feels completely sapped, and by the time I log in after waiting in the queue, sometimes I have no choice but to log out and rest because of my health. It's really stressing me out. :/

Would be nice if they congelled them and stuck them here just to keep so many off the front page of the forums. It's a bad issue, but it should be expected. This issue is pretty rough, I was there at ShB launch, and never saw it get as high as I've seen here, but I play on Primal. Still, it's been a great expansion in terms of msq and music, and seeing them trying to break into a new styles of quests.

Honestly, it's a good attempt at doing so, but so many seem to want to grab attention for themselves.

As much as the queue fiasco is inexcusable on Square's part, people only post about it in separate threads to draw attention to themselves. Don't waste your time.

Thank you! After some conversation earlier today I was contemplating doing the same, but then had to tend to some family matters. Now that I'm back, I see you've already done the deed and I appreciate that, thank you!

I'll post any further updates / discoveries I have in this thread.

Edit: Because I still can't login and have spare time, and even happen to be on the front page, I'm going to start grabbing / consolidating / posting some of the critical points people have been flagging and linking in the various threads so that they can maintain some form of visibility-

Someone on reddit was nice enough to do a full technical analysis of the cause of the 2002 error and JUST LIKE everyone has been saying.

The server is resetting you client every 15 minutes and if it desyncs during this client reset it crashes the client.

This has nothing to do with your internet but an internal server side check done once that causes you client to crash.

Fix this now and stop blaming your consumers for internal coding issues.

They probably know this and don't want to fix it, hence why they are blaming their customer's internet connexion since that problem arisen, circa 2014?

It depends how the value of 15 minutes is stored. If it is a constant somewhere in the sourcecode then it should be easy "fixable" by increasing the value to a much higher value without many changes in the client. And i also doubt that it would break something. But this would not be a real fix but more a mitigation.

A real fix should remove the disconnects every 15 minutes completely and then there should be a reconnect mechanism with more than one try.

Honestly, the queues in the afternoon during the weekends do sap my willingness to do things in game, so I'm hoping that things start settling down soon or I'll have to plan out what I wanna do and log in during the week when my mornings are free (since I work evenings)
