OP is full of it lol. No job is getting blacklisted from groups, and if you don't like the animation spam (literally ALL the jobs have insanely flashy animations, that's part of the games draw) then turn them off.

It baffles me how People are complaining avout SMN Primals obscuring vision, but are totally okay with the Red Mage LB3 meme that blinds all Partymembers.
This is the first time i hear SMN getting blacklisted over that lol
Has anyone told you already "the reason you claim"?!
The only reason i can think about is, that a bunch of SMN´s keep running around imo for what it has become. This means even a bunch of unexperienced players join the group. It would be legit to be like "I don´t want new classes in my party." since it´s more of a gamble to find a good player sitting behind the screen, who already knows what to do.
(As other said, Pet size small works and you can turn of other animations too. So far i highly doubt it´s an issue. Any serious EX raider knows such options very well.)
Past two days I have done extreme's we have had summoner in.. I have no seen a single pf on Zodiark not allowing summoner either.
You guys know that maybe a static of say 6 ppl just lookin for 2 to farm might not want a 2nd mage in the group because it conflicts with the drops team mates might receive right? Right!? Get over yourselves SMN is awesome start your own party do some work , make a team don’t lay down and cry when things don’t go your way.
HERE HERE! Well said! I almost choked when i saw this cause I read the same in the patch notes... my first thought was, i thought this was fixed LOLContrariwise, as a Summoner enjoying the full extent of my max size summons and my *own* spell effects I have no interest in running with groups who are unaware that they can turn off any and all effects they like and that it's their job to adjust the size of summons on their own screen, not mine. This is basic information to anyone who bothered to read the patch notes.
I've cleared both EX's with my summoner in my static with max pet size and all spell effects
It's not that bad for me, we've cleared multiple times and are still farming for the dang cats. Never once did I think "Dang, if only these spell effects that I have complete control over weren't making me play worse by hiding mechanics."
But, even if it was, I could just make the summons smaller or turn down spell effects. This was put in specifically for this exact issue and has been in since Bahamut's introduction and the game's launch respectively.
If you see party finders blacklisting summoners because of spell effects, I have a sneaking suspicion that's just an scrub excuse as to why they fail mechanics and would probably fail no matter what.
Curing Waltz is old and busted. The new hotness is Benediction Boogie. Make it happen, Squeenix!
Pet size scaling is client side. That means you. You put the command in send it adjusts thr size of the primals on your screen only.
