They did not fix it. They increased the capacity of the lobby servers and it is less likely that the 2002 error will occur. To fix it completely you would need lobby servers with more capacity than FF14 players exist in one data center.
Cheers
Fix is a fix even it is only increase or decrease something so i'm not wrong either
The seas continue to rise while the lesser moon continues to fall, and ilm by ilm, the world becomes ever more unlike itself, without the illumination of knowledge, we but vainly flail as specters in the dark.
Oh look, Yoshi-P getting caught flat footed not knowing how his game works again.
Isn't the first time and won't be the last time.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Every other game has a working queue system, think most people would be fine if that would be working at least. It is not your fault if you have 1 packet loss that the game just closes itself directly, no game should be programmed in such a way.
They should probably extend the requeue timer to like 5-10minute too, in case you lose your position, to get it back. If you get another error during the requeue atm, you are almost out of time, especially with 2FA login taking extra time.
I have been saying this for years. they have a huge problem on the server side they cause constant disconnects sometimes, from the game while playing to and they refuse to fix it. do they not realize we can track the data return from the server side and see when it times out? I bet SE gets kickbacks from the VPN's that help people with a better connection. Even dial-up was more stable then these servers.
I don't suppose they ever officially addressed the information in that document, did they?
If a VPN fixes your connection, it's obviously not the servers.I have been saying this for years. they have a huge problem on the server side they cause constant disconnects sometimes, from the game while playing to and they refuse to fix it. do they not realize we can track the data return from the server side and see when it times out? I bet SE gets kickbacks from the VPN's that help people with a better connection. Even dial-up was more stable then these servers.
You do realize all a VPN does is change the route your traffic takes right?
Since they stopped sales and stopped free trial accounts I have not encountered a 2002 error in queue, however to keep this going there is still an underlying problem with the queue and the fact it disconnects and reconnects every 15 mins and this can not continue and needs to be fixed. Do not be under any illusion that once the congestion ends that everything is fine and can continue as is.
They said that the fix will be applied in patch 6.01 - it requires an update to our client software, and they opted not to roll it out early and risk breaking something else since there's additional code already in there that hasn't been fully QA'd yet.
So after next Monday evening, if you are still getting 2002, then something else is going on beyond their hoped for fix. We have to wait and see.
I take it people stopped getting 2002?
