Concrete proof finally provided that the 2002 error has NOTHING is server side issue

Please please read the responses from Yoshi P.. This is not a user issue (though can be). 2002 is given when connection is lost while attempting access to login server. This doth not matter if you lost connection or Square servers become overloaded.

I am not defending Square for 2002 but really seriously, this is getting most silly. It is incredibly common when submitting any bug reports to be asked to eliminate any issue on the user end. This makes the process of diagnosis easier. It is not done to be rude.

If swapping routers and disabling anti virus appears to have worked for you it is highly likely you may have been experiencing issues on your end. Tis also most likely you will encounter 2002 again in future as this issue is not user exclusive.

In fact, lobby server issues are quite common for reasons most varied. I have had personal experience with such things when working on emulator software. I have explained many times on the forums about this.. and so wish these threads would remain on topic as they are amusing to read. If and this is biiiiiiig if Square reads anything here, technical dumps will be far more useful for them then passive aggressive insult slinging.

This is server side and can be client side issue. That is all. This has been stated by Square and from my own personal experience seems correct.

I wouldn't worry about them. They are bitter since can't accept facts that's there's been a shortage of components since 2019, and made worse due to pandemic conditions that affected the world etc. They just won't accept these facts, even when given evidence that can't be refuted, instead making up their own stories. Just check their post history, it's a bit disturbing really. They honestly think everyone who accepts science and facts are crazy fanatics that worship SE or YoshiP. I just dislike their constant spamming of the forums in thread after thread pushing their silly agenda.

It is not like any english SE community person is responding here to a community created thread since some years. They only delete stuff that is against the rules, that is their extend of interaction with the players, and it's probably not because they don't wanna say more, they just can't because the people who know what to say are in Japan and for some reason it is extremely hard to ever get a response on any issue there is, unless its lodestone news worthy.

I can verify this. Got out of work, arrived home at 19:30 EST. Logged into game at around 19:36, 4k queue. Got 2002 error at around 19:50. Requeued, lost my spot, back to 4.2k. Got 2002 disconnected again at 20:05. The game is kicking people every 15 mins as OP says.

I never had a single 2002 error since their maintenance. I can sit in 5-6k queues and not get a single one. Not every 15 minutes, not after 30 minutes, not after 45 minutes, and so on. And I am not the only one. So I successfully challenged your claim.

on serious note. The maintenance did fix one of the causes of 2002 error that a lot people had problem with, but there are more then one thing that causes 2002 error and some of them is more difficult to resolve at the moment giving the state of the world right now.
