    Normal mode gear is the same ilvl as crafted gear, which Savage is tuned towards. They'd have to delay the tome gear or increase the outgoing damage to compensate but normal mode wouldn't impact Savage from a difficulty perspective in the slightest. It would, however, destroy much of the crafting endgame. No real reason to buy gear when you can farm normal for weeks.

    If they do ultimately delay Savage, they could freeze the normal mode lockout at week two. That way no one could get additional gear they wouldn't otherwise have in ideal circumstances.

    While I doubt they delay Savage either. It should be noted NA alone now has nearly double JP's population. With EU, the two regions make up more than two thirds of XIV's entire playerbase. From a pure financial perspective, SE has significantly more to lose not taking into consideration how badly NA and EU are impacted by queue times right now.
