How Are People Going To Have Statics

With the servers as they are. How are you intended on playing with a static group. As it is for you to play at your raid time you would have to devote 2 - 3 hours a head of time just to log in. What does your group plan to do if a party member DCs? Just curious on what other people think of this with savage coming in a couple weeks.

Yeah with my static its not looking good. Everyone free in the usual prime time.. it's a shame since it was our first expansion to have a static ready to go from the start!

I raid with a few friends and we're really just hoping this problem clears up by that time, otherwise basically anyone who doesn't work from home is going to struggle extremely hard to raid. We've done a few scheduled events with an FC, and we usually have to delay it because someone inevitably crashes/90ks and can't get back in.

If they delay savage though the game dies as there is no end game content.
They would also have to delay normal as every one would be over geared and savage would be a joke.

Normal mode gear is the same ilvl as crafted gear, which Savage is tuned towards. They'd have to delay the tome gear or increase the outgoing damage to compensate but normal mode wouldn't impact Savage from a difficulty perspective in the slightest. It would, however, destroy much of the crafting endgame. No real reason to buy gear when you can farm normal for weeks.

If they do ultimately delay Savage, they could freeze the normal mode lockout at week two. That way no one could get additional gear they wouldn't otherwise have in ideal circumstances.

I don't think they delay it. Japan data center is fine isn't it? If they delay content because of EU/NA data center problems, I imagine the Japanese player base would complain. Lose/Lose situation for SE.

While I doubt they delay Savage either. It should be noted NA alone now has nearly double JP's population. With EU, the two regions make up more than two thirds of XIV's entire playerbase. From a pure financial perspective, SE has significantly more to lose not taking into consideration how badly NA and EU are impacted by queue times right now.

The part to take away from that would be there is no end game content. If they delay savage that would mean that the patch would be delayed. Thus everything included in that patch would be delayed. This would include less crafting gear, less crafting progress, and less housing furniture. Two other draws to the game outside of savage.

Just because you don't personally raid, doesn't mean that other people don't.

Clear rates of the first fight of a savage fight in a tier often approach like 25% of the games endgame population PRE ECHO, with that number increasing significantly again after echo is implemented. Some JP servers have achieved full-tier savage clear rates as high as 40% during some tiers.

Even TEA has like an 11% clear rate on some datacenters.

Most white knights are the kinds of people who depend on statics as a form of entertaining, if not validation for self worth.

I cannot wait until they realize how ruined their world is so they can come here down with the rest of us denizens to point out how ineffective SE has been here.

This is thoroughly ridiculous, and they should be ashamed; worst affront since 1.0.
