2002 is 100% unacceptable

I got off work today at noon to find a que of 5700 people.

3 hours later I was down to 2100 people after 5 2002 errors. I walk away for 5 min to use the restroom before there is a puddle under my chair and come back to find a 2002. Log back in to find a 5800 person que.

Ques are 100% expected, being unable to join the ques because they are full would not make me happy but for the short term I could accept it. However kicking people mid que to keep the que down is unacceptable and the slow response to it is even worse.

I have played this game since 1.0 alpha test and for the first time am truly considering quitting.

Well, I just had my little theories thoroughly squashed... I had thought if I just dedicated my full internet connection (aka didn't connect anything else) then FFXIV could go through a full queue without issue. I've had a couple of successful evenings of waiting 2-3hrs this last week doing that.

Today though? Nope. I waited about 45min to get crashed out with a 2002... And of course, every immediate re-login attempt resulted in more 2002 errors, until I missed my spot in the queue and had it reset.

This system is absolute garbage. The game itself is amazing, but clearly this game was oversold, the servers under-prepared, and now it's all a big hot mess. Well done.

Its understandable you guys joined during a content drought when the population was on hiatus waiting for the expansion. during this time the population soared nearly 3-4x its original in just a span of a few months. Now with all the hype that is endwalker it brings even more people into the fold.

The team had no idea how big the growth was. the same issued happed in 2014. Know what happened? the same damned thing but they were able to get more servers to help out. and now during a pandemic you children come on here raining hellfire to a company that is trying its best for everyone and you need to pull this crap.

Please take some deep breaths and get off the internet for a day to calm down. the game will be here regardless what you say.

They are entitled to complain about a service they are paying for which they aren't able to access as intended.

It would however be better if there was one mega thread for all the comments regarding the 2002 errors rather than many threads.

I've been reading the forums, and the links people have been providing from the last few expansions. What you just said flat-out isn't accurate at all, the servers and congestion have been an issue for years, so they've absolutely known about it.

They oversold their product that they can't support. It's not difficult math.

I am not sure what you mean joined just recently? I have had a non stop sub since 1.0 alpha test....

Edit: o wait I not see it saying nov. 2021 next to my name O.o that might be the day I came over to the forums for the first time but is 100% not anywhere near when I started playing lol just check my gear I have 1.0 only gear on lol
