How difficult can it be...

I get it, this beautiful game has a cool new expansion and as YoshiP has told us countless times, the servers are congested!

Today I thought I was going to be lucky, *only* waited 2 hours when I got down to position 58 in the queue. But no my friends, no! Error 2002-ex crushed my dreams once again! *Spiritbond with ground completed*


BUT you see, that is not really what bothers me the most. When I tried to login again, my queue position was up to over 4000 again.

I mean... how difficult would it be for the login server to *remember* the user's queue position even if error 2002 happens? Reserve their spot for a couple of minutes to give the user a chance to hop back in where they were...

Do we require a rocket scientist here?

Think of the poor server hamsters. Not only do they have to deal with thousands upon thousands of people screaming at them to let them in now, now you want them to remember your place in the line of screaming banshees??

But the queue remembers your spot already if you login quick enough? I got a 2002 after an hour of waiting today too and got the same spot as i had before the 2002.

Now my time to ask a question! How is your thread any different from the million others that already posted and complained about that said error and why did you feel like you just had to spam more of the same said threads?

how long did it take you to try and log back in after your 2002? it wont hold your place indefinitely.

It shouldn’t be too hard.

Client side - on refresh of queue place encrypt the time and queue place and store it locally. On successful login delete the previous local data.

Server side - On login send the time and place, decrypt it, and run an algorithm to determine an appropriate place in line.

Im pretty sure that if you get 2002'd and your spot in line is ready to load into the game while you are still trying to reconnect to the lobby server your spot is lost and you are sent to the back of the line. This has happened to me 3 times.

Love playing the devil's advocate eh, I could have ranted more about not being able to play, but no, you kinda missed the point of the topic. I just wondered why they do not seem to have a rather simple system implemented, or at least one that works properly.

Problem is when you keep getting errors when trying to connect again, and then it's too late :P
