Is that even a confirmed thing? My system has Ghub running and I usually have no problems except for the 2002s mid queue, the information not properly displaying at the character selection screen always happens when there's a lot of traffic going through the loggin servers. My GFs machine has no Ghub in it, and she has connectivity issues added to the 2002 ones, issues that "magically" disappear when she plays early in the morning and not at peak hours, which suggests the erratic connectivity is on SEs end, considering that she DC's all the same with two different internet connections and on two different systems, so the spotty ISP as the culprit is also out of the question.By any chance do you have the Logitech GHub running?
The reason for the question is there's some issues that occur while it's running as mentioned in a thread I created linked below. One of the issues is the queue number can display incorrectly. I've never dealt with the issues you've mentioned, but if you do have the GHub running it may be contributing to other issues.

I don't know if anything can be done about the software right now, but longterm improvements to the queuing system would be very much appreciated. This issue will go away with time but next expansion it will no doubt return

Yeah there definitely needs to be more grace. I waited maybe an hour to get in this morning, then got disconnected after like 15 minutes in game.
I've been in queue for 2 and a half hours since then, have had four 2002 errors, and am currently staring at myself in position 1 in the queue knowing either I'm about to get in, or I'm stuck and about to be booted back to the end of what is an already >4000 person queue and will only get worse until after midnight tonight.
Miracle of miracles I did actually get in just now but the "oh no" moment was real when my screen went dark for a second lmao

I spent 13 hours trying to get into this game, yesterday. I can't sit at my PC the entirety of the time during queue, though; I have a 10 month old who needs my attention too. So, not only did I have to restart my queue multiple times because of that ridiculous error 2002 (I don't even understand how they can say it's on our end, when I don't have connection problems anywhere else...) but, I got into the game 2 times, the first crash I got was almost immediately when I logged in (alt tabbing while waiting for my duty queue) and then when I got back in at midnight, I got to the end of MSQ roulette, and error 9002'd on the final fight, and thrown back into the queue. I wasn't able to play the damn game until 1am CST. It's disgusting...
However, as painful as this experience has been, I do want FFXIV to succeed, and I do want to play the game. It's just hard to balance life with the state of this game.

They never said it was ONLY on your side, they've explained it multiple times how the 2002 error occurs. Short version, too many people hitting the login queue at once (I think 17,000 or 21,000 if they have brought up their backups) OR if you have a temporary packet loss. Either way, it is NOT your fault. No, you're not being punished for it even if it feels that way.I spent 13 hours trying to get into this game, yesterday. Far as random DCs the only thing YOU can do is make sure you're hardwired if possible and that you've paid your internet bill. Best situation is just that, the best scenario.
As far as error codes, I'm not getting any of those. I just simply asked if they use the GHub because I wonder if they are experiencing the issues and have it installed. I'm wondering if they do have it if it might be contributing to the issues. Is that even a confirmed thing? The things mentioned in that thread I linked are indeed happening to me due to the GHub.

This should be on the list of QoL things in the game outside of expansion issues. FF14 looks really good from a distance, but don't look too close and don't look in the corner over there. And the apologists would say the game needs to be shutdown for a year to fix any of these issues.

I was queued for 4 hours...Got into the game and was happily playing and leveling my bard.
I then randomly get kicked off the game and I'm back in a 6,000 queue!! Why is there not a grace period when getting kicked off the actual game!!??! Absolute nonsense.
The 2002 errors are bad enough, but getting disconnected in game and then having to requeue is ridiculous!
This literally just happened to me just now. Got into que of 4.2K. It got down to 2.1K, error 2002, tried to get back on twice and still error. After the third try I got back in que but it is now 4.2K again. Talk about pissed right now.
Today came home at 2:30, in queue of 4k, managed to get in at 5:48, played for 25 min got kicked out and into a queue of 6k, wont be back on tonight, so spent 25 min in game.. Its not even funny anymore..
