I don't know about anyone else but I think the new mob sizes are an absolute joke. I play a Miqote and cactuars are nearly as big as me!!! I expect that of an NM but not a regular one. I certainly don't think Marmots should be the size of an anteater either!

Honestly was it really necessary at this time to implement those changes anyway? With all the things that could use improvement the Dev team felt that MOB SIZE was the thing to change? Over... lets say... ambient sounds and door sound effects that are not tied into the game volume options? There is nothing more jarring then having all your game volumes down so you can listen to a book on tape and walking through a door in game and having the sound effect for it nearly blow your speakers because it is so loud... but no... mob size takes MUCH MORE precedence.

I have honestly stopped playing for the time being. I feel like the there was all this time to improve things like making it an option to invite people to your linkshell from the linkshell menu instead of the main. I hate trying to browse someone's bazaar and end up inviting them to my linkshell by accident. Instead all that valuable man power was put into adjusting mob size something of which we could have definitely done without. If people feel it necessary to have bigger mobs though, I feel that most of the changes are WAY to MUCH. Goats... ok yea makes sense.... marmots, lady bugs, gnats... cactuars??? Not so much.

So....Bigger = Better? Is that the reasoning here?

Just because something can be made bigger, it doesn't mean it should be made bigger.

What was the actual reason for the size increase? Don't tell me it was something as silly as having to cater for future PS3 players who might want to play on 50 inch screen from the other side of the room?

I'm not disagreeing that some of the larger mobs look nicer, but the way it's been done by enlarging almost everything just seems crazy. What's next? Make Lalafell larger because they're now smaller than over half the mobs in the game? Oh wait, we already have Roegadyn.....

I can agree on the larger scale size of many of the mobs. But especially mobs that are based on actual living creatures in Real Life(Squirrels, Bugs etc), shouldn't be as big as a horse...

The most disturbing mob in that category would be the Chigoe for me. Seriously...that thing is so large, it looks more hilarious, than "threatening". It also destroyed the immersion with the world a bit, cause the mobs look so oversized now, that they don't support the feeling of being a "part of the world" anymore. They just look oversized...

We already got a post about this, most people seems to like the new size, as its more epic etc. Myself i like it because i can now see the monsters details and be able to click on the enemy i want to attack qnd not a random goat

I thought some look nice as big and some does not. They need to make it small mob are small and big mob are big. Like fly, rodents, rat, should be small. Ram, Sheep, Crab, etc. are ok as big. Not make every single mob larger 50%.

But overall, I do not mind the changed. It looking great on large resolution and I can finally see the mob details.

Hey, if it weren't for that, no one would be targeting the goats.

I think the size change was good for some, but not so good for others. It makes Eorzea look like World 4.

I like some of the sizes but the giant mice and giant chigoes are just silly.

Some? Good choice. All? Just silly.

SE did not make all the monsters universally jumbo-sized. Different monsters were scaled differently. The Beetles and Ladybugs only got a small size increase ... less than 50%. While other monsters like the rodents got around 100% increase, and the vilekin got about a 200% size increase. Meanwhile Glowflies got no size increase at all. SE was not indiscriminate. They adjusted each monster individually.

I was scared of the Chigoes when I saw them. Squirrels are too big though. Should be a little smaller. Gnats are terrifying now.
