Is it possible to move the cutscene text box?

Hi I'd love to be able to move this, as for one having to read from the bottom of screen is annoying, but also when streaming it would be nice to be able to have it up the top so as that it would look like I'm talking to the viewer whilst reading,
as that's where most webcams are situated.(While streaming at the moment it looks like im reading from a book on my desk haha)

I haved googled all answers point to no, but this was pre endwalker, so i thought i would check.

I dont think you can customize it much itself, just its size. What you could do as a workaround though, use one of the default chat tabs, make it display the cutscene text, maybe make the font bigger aswell- Pull that chat log whereever you want it and press a button during the cutscene like Enter if you have directchat mode activated, so it pops up. That chat window will at least stay forever where you put it

Probably the same that makes "Fate joined" stuff pop up, they mentioned once that its hard to remove. You could do the same with the chat log and create an extra tab so it covers "npc dialogue (announcements)" but it is a bit buggy and there are a few exceptions to it, so it wont cover it all in every duty. Or get 'outside' help.

Hope they make it adjustable soon :P

Completely agree! The Boss dialogue bubble is one of the worst mechanics to me in some fights, it's always in the way of where I'm trying to look and by the time I adjust my camera to see around it, whatever it said is gone but it often has distracted me from reacting to the actual mechanic. (And before anyone starts in on the "you're playing it wrong, git gud", different people are more sensitive to visuals / sounds / etc. than others for various reasons. Please bear that in mind and be kind.)

I'd rather an option to completely remove the boss dialogue bubble since I can hear what the boss is saying, I don't need an enormous popup in the way. Plus, it's in the chat box right? So an option to be able to add a sound alert to those specifically could be very helpful just in case we do miss it. Options are always good.

I'd also really like an option to remove "retainer sold..." "you've gathered..." etc. I've had emotional cutscenes ruined by the "Retainer x sold (item)" splashing in the middle of the screen at very much the wrong moments. These are also available in the chat box so the duplicated text in the middle of the screen really is unneeded. Please, please, please let us remove them.

If it's the box I think you're talking about, you can click, hold, and drag it all around the screen. I accidentally do it sometimes when watching a cutscene.
