people would just modify whatever scripts they use to keep them from going afk. the problem needs to be fixed with more/better hardware.

I like how you propose 3 min afk kicks in your first troll post and now you clearly admit that you AFK for 5 minutes at times. So you ARE aware AFKing for RL stuff happens. *noted*okay second round, i agree 3min is too short for auto-kick, but come on, 30minutes for auto-kick is tooo long.
So maybe reduce to 10min for auto-kick. I don't understand people who need 30min afk, because when I play the game, I'm never gone for longer than 5min or so, if it takes longer, I logg off by myself.
People who AFK for 30min should get punished even, they take a spot from other gamers who could use the time much better ingame. Many people don't have alot of time to play games, so please, just logg off if you don't play the game.
How do you guys asking for shorter afk timer not understand that it would not work like you want? The shorter it would be, the more players would use anti afk measures to bypass it.
Okay I vote that only Pokelong is kicked after 10 minutes and if that doesn't work I vote they get kicked after 3 minutes. The rest of us are fine with the afk timer. Let's make more troll threads NOT. /S
Enjoy Life you only get one.
The goal of the AFK timer is to remove players that are genuinely away from the game; 30 minutes is a reasonable and sufficient assumption that a player has fully stepped away, or otherwise has been away long enough to face the consequences.
The only thing that shortening the timer will do is compel players to hold their attention to the game, either meaning less logouts/kicks, or in the event of a kick, a swift re-queue. Neither situation resolves any of the issues being faced.
This is definitely more reasonable than 3 minutes but I still can't support it.
The update/fixes they did this week seem to have made 2002s happen less often, so fortunately I haven't had to sit in a 3.5+ hour queue since last Saturday (though I know others have), but I'm still averaging ~2 hours even when the queue goes buttery smooth with no disconnects. On week nights, that eats half or more of the time I'd be able to play at all anyway, and if I disconnect from the game I'm pretty much done for the night. Queues on Behemoth are still thousands long even close to midnight and it means even a legitimate error with the game lands you in at least an hour long line.
The lines are why people don't want to log out, and I've already had a few disconnects and necessary longer afk's that have stuck me back with waiting. I don't want to have to be entirely glued for my screen from noon to midnight if I want to be able to play for more than an hour or two at a time.

I suggest that the devs install sensors on the players' chairs. If the player stands up, he is kicked from the game.
No mercy for those who parasitize the experience of others.
I think they should add pop up question every 30 minutes that gives you 1 minute to reply in or your auto logout. If your using a bypass it wouldn't help because you wouldn't answer the question.
