    So the grace that SE earned from giving away 7 free days expires today...

    It has been 7 days now since the proverbial poo hit the fan. I think we need an announcement today on more extended game time and an ETA for a fix on the server errors (2002, 3001, etc.). The queues themselves are understandable.

    As a paying consumer who cannot access the product for which I've already paid, I think that is a perfectly reasonable and fair request (though I still think they should be offering refunds for Endwalker at this point to those who want it). Hopefully we see something today.

    But I have had zero issues getting on Zalera even in early access.

    Seems only the obviously way overpopulated servers are having these issues still. At this point y'all need to take some responsibility for rolling on those servers, that you knew were overpopulated, when you could have started on the non-congested ones. They even give Road to 70 and 80 buffs for these servers.

    This is karma.

    And you're level 81. You aren't getting an Endwalker refund unless you want your character/account locked until you get Endwalker again.

    A few things. Firstly, I don't want a refund, but I do understand that some folks who aren't able to play deserve one and should be able to get one. That is because I'm willing to step outside of my own experience with this launch to objectively see the point that others are making. I'm level 81 because I was able to log on briefly on launch day. I haven't been able to play since. Secondly, if you're idea of karma is that people should be going through these servers errors and forced to babysit queues that likely will not even let them into the game before they crash with a 2002 just because they chose to play on a certain server, then I'm glad that you aren't god and don't set the rules for karma in life. Why are you so attached to thwarting people's legitimate complaints?

    Why exactly should they refund Endwalker..? Nothing in the expansion is subpar, horrible or broken. In fact it's absolutely sublime.

    Game time being eaten up by queue issues, that's potentially a 'subscription refund' for those who may have decided that they do not wish to play right now, but definitely not the expansion. After all, the expansion isn't running away or expiring, it'll still be there even when the queue issues have resolved themselves.

    So no, they don't have to go ahead and start handing out refunds for Endwalker, beyond normal procedures they have for it anyway.

    Also.. try to keep up with the news, as far as I know they're doing work today to try and resolve the 3001.. they announced that here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...9666c6bb5cc202

    So yeah, not entirely sure what you're asking for as they're pretty much constantly communicating what issues are still in play and the continuous efforts they're making to resolve them.

    Great question, and I'll answer it as simply as I possibly can. There are people who bought this product that they were supposed to have access to 7 days ago, and they still do not have access to that product. They should be able to request a refund and acquire it. I'm not suggesting that SE needs to send out mass refunds for all EW purchases.

    Is it karma when I was at the creation of Balmung? Awfully large brush to say everyone knew what they were getting into lol. Back in my day the server was called Fabul. There were hundreds of us, like... Total.. lol

    That said a tip I'd share if people have the ability is to use remote desktop on your phone, or whatever (don't get in trouble at work), and login before you head home. Enjoy your dinner, spend time with wife, kids, pet, favorite chair, what have you, check the login sometimes, play a few hours, win.

    It's not ideal of course, but that has worked well for me so far, as I've played a little bit everyday since release.

    Fair point. I still feel it falls more under a refund for the resub, but I suppose that may not feel like enough of a statement for some.

    Pre-ordered the collector's edition of the game.

    Can't play early access because of the horrible launch.

    Can't play a week after launch because nothing has been fixed.

    7 days of "FU" sub time is about to expire and my sub will once again be ticking down despite it paying for literally NOTHING since the game is unplayable currently.

    Gilgamesh was activated in 2013, the OP joined the forums in 2014 so it stands to reason he's been playing since at least the date he joined, if not earlier than that. Chances are very good the server wasn't overpopulated at the time he started playing. It's nigh guaranteed that Gilgamesh didn't have the population problems in 2014 that it does now.

    It's not Karma, it's change over time that is to be expected of a growing MMO. I've been on Atomos since 2014 and never had queue issues until this year. I happen to be lucky and play close to opposite the server's prime time so I haven't encountered significant queues even on expansion launches. What does it say about server population increase and the game's population increase in general that a low-population Japanese server has queues when I'm playing during their work and school hours? For reference, my 6 pm is their 7 or 8 am depending on Daylight Savings.

    It's unkind and a bad point of argument to blame someone for their choice of server; especially when they made that choice 7 years ago. It's an even worse point to bring up when touting your ability to get on your server when it has thousands fewer active players on it as of December 3rd, 2021. https://dotesports.com/mmo/news/all-...er-populations

    Yeah.. I don't think there's any 'karma' involved in choosing a server in 2013 that is congested in 2021.. that to me is rather a silly argument.
