Realistically, when will the 2002 and que issue be resolved?

well what ever they did last week worked for me. i was getting 2002 error every 10 min or so or just getting it by going into the lobby (Europe Light), But after the fix no crashes for me even after being in queue for 3-4 hours before i'm able to play. hope they will resolve it for other servers it's strange thought that the fix they did did not work for everyone

At this point the 2002 error can occur ~16 times because the client closes the connection to the lobby server ever 15 minutes.

Yet this heavily depends on the time. In weekends this is almost contant during the day (to a point i stopped bothering), but on workdays, 2002's generaly start to happen after 6pm CET, and rarely before that (mananged to get through 6x without getting kicked). Also, from my experience its more like 1k per hour. I have queued many times around 4pm and got in without any 2002, and if they happened, its usualy near 6:30pm (although to be sure, i assume 6pm to be able to catch the moment and preserve my queue spot).

(at least that is an advantage from having to work at home)

Even though I don't have your issue op, my friends do and I play mmos with my friends, so if my friends can't do what I can do. Aka wake up around 3 to 6 am and play. Than the game is less enjoyable for me.

The errors is my main concern. Even if it got some better. We need a grace period for getting dc in game, to get right back in.

The errors are from server load. Server load is caused by lack of servers. Lack of servers is caused by the current lack of semi conductors combined with SE's lack of preparation at an earlier time.
They didn't try to obtain servers earlier so they are screwed thus we are. Not much can be done about it now.
And we do not need a better grace period. It already takes 6 hours to get online on gilgamesh during peak hours. Increasing grace period would just make that longer.

Making the login client more resilient and not closing on a 2002 error and disconnect protection is very important. In fact, a 2002 error should auto retry for a few minutes before dying.

If you disconnect at peak time in the game, your day is over. There is no recovery on my server as it’s 7,000+ at peak.

Ya, and players have a right to be upset about this. This is a coding issue, The long queue times is a chip issue, but being punished with errors, and dcs? That is on them.

The chip shortage is real. In normal times you ordered a server at Dell or HPE and one week later it was ready to ship. Now you wait 1 - 2 months for standard hardware. And we do not know which hardware the FF14 servers need. If it is something very special then good luck.

After more than a year, I still unable to buy PS5. I've also waited for months trying to get Ryzen 9 5900X and RTX 3080. After the long wait, I finally got it.

Turning real life problems into memes shows the stupidity of adults and children today. And if you read beyond that I clearly stated SE's lack of preparation in part of the chip shortage was the problem.
SE has had server issues for a while, they should have added additional servers during Shadowbringers as the player base was growing at a steady rate.
This is not an actual coding issue, as again the amount of connections trying to hit the servers is to much for it to handle. It is as if the server is being DDOSed during these peak hours and it eventually craps. There is not really a magic code fix to this other then to prevent connections and requests to the server completely once the limit is reached but that solves nothing but possibly prevents 2002 in the queue. Adding a grace period to disconnects just increases the length of which you are in queue, trying a connection for few minutes same result. The things you are suggesting do not actually resolve any issues but in fact make them worse.
But you are to stupid and ignorant to think logically and think everything has to be a meme or an excuse.

Log in client closing on 2002 is stupid I can agree and that is something they can fix.

Once again the reality of the situation is SE did not procure servers when they should have, and we are in this situation of waiting for them to be able to. There is little they can do outside of that.
