Reporting No Soliciting in Party Finder causes the mouse to lose focus, unclickable

Just as the title says, Reporting No Soliciting in Party Finder causes the mouse to lose focus, can't click on anything.

I can still interact with the game using keyboard navigation and gamepad, but mouse is totally unusable.

Only solution to fix this on my end is to restart the game, and given the current queue times, this is not ideal, to say the least.

    Date & Time: Dec 11 21
    Frequency: Has happened twice
    World name: Excalibur
    Character name: Fluttershy Flutters
    Steps:
    1. Rightclick a party listing
    2. Report for No Soliciting
    3. Mouse loses window focus, everything becomes unclickable/controllable with mouse.

Are you asking for help on a third party tool on official forums instead of the forum of said third party tool, or something like that?

This has nothing to do with a third party tool (why do people keep asking that), reporting people for soliciting was added when they changed the Party Finder Rules. I am not running any addons or third party tools, so this is a Game Bug.

No, they didn't add such an option "when they changed the Party Finder Rules" [sic]. The option to "Report to NoSoliciting" is only available if you have that 3rd party tool ("NoSoliciting") loaded and active. The option is there to report the group to the 3rd party addon, thereby notifying the developer of spam their filter is missing; they can then update or adjust their filters. It also adds that group to a "blacklist" so you don't personally see it anymore.

"Report to NoSoliciting" isn't an option given by the default UI. Hence, why the option specifically says "Report to NoSoliciting", not "Report for soliciting." These are two different sentences, with different meanings. If you check, you'll find you are seeing the first one, not the second one. The devil's in the details.

Despite many people's insistence to the contrary, capitalization serves a purpose and the perfect example is right here. "NoSoliciting" is a proper noun and the name of an addon. Reporting someone "for soliciting" is completely different. The former sentence means you will be reporting (something) to (someone or something) called "NoSoliciting". The latter sentence, which you aren't actually seeing anywhere in-game, means that you will be reporting (something) for the activity of soliciting.

So, just to be clear, you do have a 3rd party tool running, whether you realize it or not. This 3rd party tool is called "NoSoliciting" and its what's giving you the option. You'll want to ask for help at the addon developer's site / Github / Discord instead of here. Finding that site / Github / Discord will be a matter of a simple Google search.

Assuming you truly didn't install it and have no knowledge of it, you'll want to ask other folks that have had access to your computer to remedy this situation... because you are definitely running "NoSoliciting", and if you didn't know about this addon, you might be running a whole slew of others without your knowledge, including ones that do publicly visible things that would very quickly lead to account action.

(Also, my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who told me that when your mouse loses focus after you click "Report to NoSoliciting", it's because there's a window under the party finder asking you to confirm your report.)

After all is said and done, the most important thing to take away from this situation is the understanding that choosing the option "Report to NoSoliciting" doesn't do anything but possibly get some specific words, symbols or language added to a filter that NoSoliciting uses. No one is reported to SE via this option, and no account action will ever be taken against the spammers. Since the impetus for this whole thing is to report spammers (which I am totally onboard with), it's important to understand that the only way to do so is still by manually filing a ticket through the support desk.

    Good luck.
