They explained many times that they tried to purchase additional hardware for new servers (and even paid extra for it) but semiconductors shortage ruined their plans. It's a Force majeure really caused by a world epidemic. They feel even more bad than you because it's their business.
From my experience of their expansion launches, people will dissolve soon and you'll be able to play normally.
