Wonder how long until they just start automatically kicking everyone from the server at certain times of day again. Seems to be the only way to stop the AFK-evaders for a couple of minutes.

Ah yes, the only way to minimize how much a couple companies can track you is to completely sever all connection to the modern world. Thanks for making me feel better at least, sure I might be schizophrenic but I'm not that detached from reality.
Definitely no. 3 mins is too short. Around 15-30 mins is more reasonable.
Imagine if I'm playing on NA. I would try playing alt in Japan Elemental DC on peak hours. Just like what i did on WoW days. Toons on Oceanic and NA servers. Expecting bad connection on Frostmourne? Play on Stormrage.

AFK players are seriously not this MMO's problem and has not been for almost a year. We are seriously lacking a sufficient amount of servers to cover an almost doubling of this MMO's population. It is going to get SIGNIFICANTLY worse in 6.1 with the release of on the box features that are pretty damn major for Endwalker.
Google and YouTube, and I give them all fake information. All they know about me is what I do on their sites.
Its getting cold. Can I sheer some of your wool to make a sweater?
Also what's wrong with ACT? The raiding scene wouldn't enjoy not having access to that.SE needs to address the elephant in the room and implement a program that verifies files and executables that might be affecting the game. That way you tackle in one fell swoop: bots, mod users, assist tool users (like ACT).
Any other fix other than that is a band aid fix that will get infected and start bleeding again next expansion.
That's apparently illegal in Japan.. thaaat's why they're not doing it.SE needs to address the elephant in the room and implement a program that verifies files and executables that might be affecting the game. That way you tackle in one fell swoop: bots, mod users, assist tool users (like ACT).

Among other problematic things, ACT has sound notifications for when skills come off cooldown which completely babyfies the complexity of rotations and it's something console players don't have access to, thus being an unfair advantage.
And of course people performing illegal activities wouldn't enjoy being busted and having their illegal stuff taken away/punished.
I seriously have to ask: can you honestly think of no reason other than illegal activities why someone doesn't want to be monitored? I want to know if this is actually your perspective or if you're just making bad faith arguments on purpose.
