I could use some help in the Zenos Fight for Endwalker. Using a controller what button(s) do you use to rapidly press the in game button. At my age (74.5) mouse and keyboard are not an option. Previous combos I have used before do not work. Until I can figure this out I am at a standstill with the game. Help please.

all of them, you can smash all your buttons and triggers at the same time since all of them count to keep the bar up, the more the better, so don't focus on just smashing one button or just a couple only and press as much as you can the faster you are allowed to

I guess you'd need to check your controller binds inside the game incase they have been changed

It could be you are activating chat or something else by mistake.

If that doesn't work it may be time to try a new controller.

I suppose in your specific case the main struggle is a speed at which you would need to press buttons repeteadly. I normally smash Square and X buttons rapidly simultaneously, might even add triangle and circle if needed (XYBA buttons in case if you're playing with xbox controller), this is what you could try to do. Another trick could be to place your controller on table for this (to reduce the strain on your hands) and then press buttons with fingers of both hands as fast as you're able to, as it's normally exactly what such action mechanics require. ...probably still won't be an enjoyable moment I suspect, but might help to at least pass the mechanic.

I just roll my thumbs around the d-pad and face buttons, while tapping the shoulders at the same time.
All buttons work so you can effectively be hitting about 10+ buttons per second.
