[Spoiler: 6.0] End of Endwalker discussion

So my absolute favorite part was when you reach Ultima Thule. I was thinking, "Last area must be something amazing, but surely it cant beat Amaurot right?"

Damn was I wrong, I was hooked from the moment the scenery and music set in. I would just sit there, listening to the song and taking it all in. When you reach 2nd area and the music changes.. that was pretty damn amazing too.

Did anyone else find the discussion of dead worlds, heat death of the universe, or if you are same person when waking up, extremely interesting?

I have been thinking to those same questions myself many times. Suddenly the game was just talking about all the same stuff me and others before me were thinking about.

It's hard to explain, but while listening to the music, I did try to imagine what it would be like to actually live forever... alone in the cold empty void of nothing and you could never escape it. I got goosebumps because the whole idea felt so horrible.

Life everlasting would not be a blessing, it would be the most horrible curse ever imagined. Like the Wee Ea race, they only wanted corporeal bodies again.. so they could escape the horrible fate of eternal life in the frozen void of nothingess.

I think this is the first time that any game has made me think and discover this kind of emotions about life and how things actually are.

Before we are born, we remember nothing of the before. At the moment of our death, time is meaningless again and we are all together in the empty cold void with everything that has ever existed.. forever. That is pretty scary to think about.

I just wanted to hear if anyone else had same kind of thoughts about it.

It was definitely an interesting and thoughtful zone. I loved it. Particularly the art in the backgrounds!

I totally agree. Beyond EW's amazing writing, the thing that strikes me most if how it deals with relatable themes.

Also being a fan of astrophysics myself, I fould really moving that after the last boss, you are in a place that resembles a black hole's Event Horizon... and there, of all thing impossible to be seen in one, you do see a sunrise. That took me away.

Yeah the skybox was amazing. I feel like some of the zones feel so dull and out of color and yet.. there is some places that have absolutely insane light effects.

I wish they would explore same kind of themes in the future, but that seems very unlikely.

Ultima Thule hit me so hard mentally i had to fight to keep playing but wanting to see the end of it all, pushing through, keeping my character company while being forced to walk the last steps before the first lvl 90 dungeon... The zone song and the final boss song is a big challenger for the top spot for me.

What. an. Ending. to. this. arc.

Loved every second of it. Also i never connected to my WoL as much before as i do now. Shadowbringers was only slightly behind this though.

Of all the expansions, this is the one i liked the least.
Boring speeches most of the time, the only really interesting area is Elpis, i'm not talking about the graphics cos the areas are all beautiful, i am referring to the complexity of the characters in which Emet Selch wins over all.

I feel this as well. Once I got to elpis I was like "woa ok now we're gonna get the meat and potatoes" and we did....well kind of. It feels the whole msq was like that, I always felt that things were gonna get really interesting and it kind of did but it sort of felt empty. Garlemald was a huge disappointment for me, so was zodiark and even the end with the scions was like...hmm bye I guess.

The pacing was all over the place. It felt like they took two expansions worth of story arcs and tried to cram it all into one, with none of them having the same depth/cohesion as prior expansions. Things like Garlemald and the whole sequence on the moon feel like they could have been much more fleshed out.

Having said that, I still enjoyed the hell out of it. I was crying before I got to the rainbow staircase.

Ok I didn't want to read the content of the thread to avoid what i haven't finished yet, but I wanted to say, I just flew around the moon on a dog, and was attacked by rabbit people.

Best expansion. 10/10 would loporrit again.

Oh can't wait for moonpartments either.
