    9006 DC Errors Back To Back


    I've been playing since 2015. I've never had an issue DC'ing. I can count on one hand how many times I've been DC'd from the game in all of those years: Until Endwalker.

    It's the worst when I'm trying to do dungeons, but the DC's also happen out in the world as well. I have tried every single fix that I've found online so far. I've tweaked all of the Internet Explorer options. I've tried using Google's public DNS.

    I've cleared my cache and temp folders.

    I've reset my router (At least a dozen times.)

    I've gotten a new Ethernet cable.

    All of my drivers are up to date.

    At this point, I can't possibly exhaust any other options I don't think. But it's rendering the game unplayable. I live in southern Missouri, if that matters. My ISP is Fidelity Communications. I don't disconnect from any other game, or from Discord whatsoever. It's ONLY Final Fantasy. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, I've run it as Administrator, I've tried every single fix I've found and yet nothing has fixed it. I just stand there for a solid minute lagging out, losing packets left and right and then bam. The DC. Always a 9006 error.

    Again. I didn't have this problem before Endwalker.

    A lot of other people are having the same issues. It's always the 90002 or 90006 errors. It's not on our end, it's 100% SquareEnix's issue. Something that they NEED to fix, because I am also getting disconnected constantly.

    Rather partially their issue. They do have a server that is freaking out that is part of the problem but the fact that their upstream provider is dropping 9 - 13% of the packets going through it per hour is a major issue. That is an average. There are intervals when broken down where it is 100% packet loss for a minute or more at a time. It has been far more frequent the last 36 hours though for some reason.

    Well I wish we could get someone to say something about it and it get fixed. It's unplayable. Then once the queues start getting crazy.. why would you even TRY to log in? Just to get DC'd 5 minutes later after waiting 2 1/2 hours in a queue? Oof.
