    Overhaul the Dye system please.

As the title says, the game really needs a dye system overhaul, to start with dyes consume so much retainer space that I am only able to keep around the general purpose and Ishgard restoration dyes since otherwise it would consume almost a whole retainer and secondly the amount of color shades is very lacking, I have seen dungeon gear in shades of white and black and even some oranges that are not available as dye, this is why we need dyes to have their own place, maybe under collection and treat dyes as a consumable that gets added as ''currency'' in this collection, say you have 10 General-purpose Pure White Dye, you can right click on them use them and then they are converted into 10 of the ''currency'' version on said collection. What ever way they choose the game could very well use this overhaul because not only do we need the space this dyes take we also need more variety in color/shade choice.

Wouldn't be opposed to dyes being a form of consumption item you can use and it will go into the pallet in the dye section for limited uses.

Which makes the dye character bound and unable to be traded once consumed but saves up slots in the inventory if you choose to do this.

Yes, there is a market for dyes so getting rid of that wouldn't be good that is why it would be good to be able to choose whether to keep it in item form for later sale or just converting it into a ''charge'' that can be spent at convenience and doesn't take up a slot on the saddle/retainer.

yeah, it is really annoying and basically stops me from changing outfits too much because having to go to my glamour dresser, pick an outfit, teleport out to the market board to buy the dye, go back, etc, is too much of a hassle.

This will never happen because creating a whole new layer of inventory would be a significant increase in mobile data which has an impact on game stability.

Personally, I think they should just merge all dyes into generalized consumables. When you select the dye option, you get a full color pallet range. Ideally full RGB, but I'd honestly take it even with a discrete but broader and more inclusive range of hues, saturations, and colors. Like the fact that there is no well-saturated and reasonably brilliant purple color, except the metallic variant. Nor is there one for green, yellow, or orange.

When you dye the armor, it then consumes one of the generalized consumables. They can add different rarity tiers of dyes, and make certain colors require rarer dye consumables. The existing "premium" dyes would also just be another rarity tier (and they could then also add other shader variants, like sparkly dyes or shimmering dyes or ones that act kinda like the two-tone car paint, etc, this way without ballooning the dye item count). They could boil the entire system down to just a handful of rarity tiers, the upper of which include shaders, and even have in-game and market versions of all of them in various quantities.

Anyway, the point is, separate dye items from their colors. You can dye an item any color you want with a 1-2 of only a handful of general dye consumables, on various rarity tiers. Thus instead of having nearly an entire retainer of different colors of dye, you can just have a stack of each of the, say, 3-5 general dye consumables, taking up a fraction of the space they currently do.

Also on the note of inventory, they should either generalize fishing bait in a similar manner, or convert fishing bait into an "ability" type system, where it's not a consumable item but simply a job ability as part of the bait flyout. Heck, even require a generalized "bait" consumable if you want, or one per expansion, that's still consumed per cast.

And while we're on the topic, do the same thing to raid tokens. I have literally 3 of the 5 slots of a single retainer taken up by raid token drops, which I don't want to discard in case I end up wanting a glamour from those raids. Why are there like 4+ tokens per raid tier?. Need to consolidate the tokens for each raid into, at most, a single token for the entire raid (not tier, the whole raid, like all of Alexander or all of Eden) after that expansion ends. That would reduce those 24-plus-per-expansion to only 2, one for the regular raid and one for the alliance raid. If you want to still maintain some benefit from running the higher tiers of that raid, then make the upgrades cost more tokens, and have the higher tiers drop more (ex. the tiers drop 1/2/3 or 3/4/5 of the token or something).

Basically the only thing in my saddle bags at the moment is various dye shades. All I use the saddle bags for.

There are a number of dyes only available from beast tribes, a number of others from Skybuilder Scrip in the Ishgard crafting area, and a number of others still that come only from retainer ventures and/or deep dungeons. Also, one of the major uses of dyes is in the glamour dresser itself, on the glamour plates, which can only be done in your inn room or your grand company's command room. So doing all your dyeing at the dye NPC in cities isn't remotely practical or complete.
