Can we tone down SMN's "Summon Ifrit II" & "Summon Titan II" animation effect?

The animation for "Summon Ifrit II" and "Summon Titan II" are so bright that I can no longer see the boss mechanic properly. Both aoe indicators on the floor and Boss' animations are covered by these two abilities' bright shiny effects. Despite being able to change the pet size, its effect remains.

In order to finish the fight smoothly, I have to change the "Battle Effects Settings - Own" to " Show Limited". Personally I am against to do so because no player should be forced to turn off personal effect during fights.

If you're able to turn off effects then I don't think it's necessary to tone down the animation of SMN but I agree that the job definitely gotten flashier. I just finished the second EW trial and the party had two SMNs and I forgot to turn my effects so their attacks made me barely see the boss, especially Titan's. They are starting to become the new DNC now because DNC's attacks has the brightest and flashiest animation imo.

Why are you post this in General Discussion When it should be in DPS part of the forum and also should be added to one of the thousand of other Threads to do with Summoner. You never see see this in the Japanese Forum its a lot more organized.

Yo summoner isn't as bad as Sage and Reaper I was in Bozjan Southern Front and cause of all the Reapers and Sage's flashy attacks I couldn't see the mobs and had to hide other players names just so I could target the mobs and that still didn't help.

Can't you turn off effects from others in the settings, or at least tone them down?

I'd argue that this isn't relevant to dps players only. Anyone in party with a summoner can end up blinded or unable to see mechanics due to the grand and glorious summons. This has already been an issue in the past with bahamut and phoenix being quite large, so they added an option to resize them smaller so they take up less screen space. Just with the new grand summoning effects your only option is to limit / remove 'everyones' spell effects rather than just reducing the offending ones.
