I dont even bother trying to log in after work as it will just kick me and tell me try again at 4 am before work....so I was wondering if there was any specific reason you play your main job and race? What made you choose it and like it, what do you like about said job/race combo and does your character have some kind of little backstory you've created?

I chose viera because FFT viera red mages were the cutest with their hats. I am a fool.

I chose male hyur because I like being a default JRPG protagonist. Ninja because I always play the rogue type class in RPGs

I chose a lalafell because I'm short in RL

on FFXI, I chose a Mithra because they look good as Dancers

Roegadyn: In fantasy RPGs and MMOs, I either pick a Tolkien Dwarf archetype race, or the biggest, beefiest dude on the board. So, here I am.

PLD: Spellswords are cool, and I didn't feel like levelling RDM
AST: There's nothing I like more than space, so let's blow something up here

I chose miqo'te because this is a 1.0 character that was originally based off my FFXI character model. As for job, I went with pugilist because at the time it most mirrored how XI's thief worked with positionals being important.

Nowadays I main RDM PLD WHM as my big three though I level everything to cap for fun and variety.

I chose Au Ra because with the right combination you could make him look equally serious and nerd; and I chose Scholar cause I like support classes in other games and it fights with a book, how could it get any better?

even as a fanta addict i still have a little backstory of my character in my head and i mostly switch between fem viera/lalafell because they are my favorite races .
as for my class i always love the aesthetics of healers or white mages in jrpgs/anime, i am really loving sage and want to main it but not really liking it's aesthetics so might go back to whm/sch later .

Female Mioq'te because they have the best running animation and their emotes are simply the most expressive and anime like. Plus lion tails are the best tails.

I have a backstory for her and had one since I started. A street fighter monk who instead of becoming a baby push out machine for her tribe left and now goes on adventures punching people in the face and raiding dungeons for fat loot. - I also canon her as the WoL but I RP to myself so it's whatever. - And she dropped monk cause learning the art of the gunblade provided a much better fight.
