    Always amazes me how people react to customer service they way like OP did. If people start by giving attitude you already lost vs customer support, theres no way around it. Because they aren't the ones who screwed up and you gain a lot more goodwill to go out of their way if you are friendly.

    Nice to see you throw tantrums at absolutely everyone and not just us.

    The grubhub thing is confusing and badly done, there is no reason to take this out on the customer service people though.

    But yeah you are right, we should just all take it and never complain and let the corps do whatever with us! Would also make all the customer service employees happy since they would be jobless in that case.

    Tell me you've never worked a service job without telling me you've never worked a service job.

    There are entirely civil ways to complain without abusing customer service people. They are paid to help you, not to take abuse.

    I noticed the same thing... and speaking as someone who worked in that field thought college, I gotta say I did a whole lot more to try to help people who were pleasant than the people who were nasty. If you came across as rude, then I just wanted you off my line.

    If things go south with a company, you can always get upset and forceful later, but if you start out the gates swinging, you're just going to get met with pushback. It's not surprising to see the customer service rep just dismissing it.
