    Menphina's Earrings (pre-order bonus) are essentially worthless.

    They only work on mob kill experience. Mob exp in the open world is pitiful.

    They don't work on Dungeon Bosses. The Developers decided to remove mob exp from dungeons.

    They don't work in Bozja.

    Checkmate, SE. Well done (heavy sarcasm)

    Edit: I was noticing both Levelling Roulette and MSQ were giving lower exp results than expected and I think the loss of mob exp is the reason why.

    Basically SE needs to re-tune some numbers.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Haven't paid much attention and I sort of glossed over that bit of the patch notes, but I thought they moved the dungeon mob xp onto the bosses, did they just remove it wholesale and toss it all onto the completion xp?

    they are not any different than the last earrings they gave out as pre-order for ShB. so.. not sure why you would expect differently

    Because the previous earrings provided a significant exp boost when you were in dungeons.

    Boss kill exp is still boosted by the earring, isn't it? And SE said they move monster kill exp to boss kill for the sake of easier calculation in future.

    I really wouldn't mind seeing these earrings go away. They're fantastic from the perspective of never having to worry about your ear slot for the first 80 levels, but that's the whole problem with them - they make all the level 1 through 79 earrings in the game worthless.

    well, with the game "falling apart at the seams" get your digs in while complaints are at a high volume... 15 minutes of fame and all that

    personally, never paid that much attention to the earrings after 70. at ilevel 430, wasnt worth even equiping for 80.

    Nope, earrings only affect mob kills. Bosses aren't considered mobs.
