this is there what? 4-5 expansion. by now they should know what thewy are doing, and if not. they need to be fired. Also stop acting like this is normal for any expansion. let a lone a actual launch. I have been playing mmos all the way back to everquest 1. glitches, crashes and bugs. yes, but never have i seen any game that had a 2+ hour ques just to play. The only one i ever herd of this happing. Was with shadow bringer.

I've also been playing MMO's since EQ, and I don't agree. I've seen plenty of terrible expansion launches and I'd much rather have problems with a queue than problems with actual game-play and that has been nearly flawless for me. It's an unfortunate situation, and it's not fun for those having the hardest time of it for sure - but no one needs to be fired because you can't play a video game. That's ridiculous.

It's also not the end of the world. It's already starting to get better and in a few weeks we'll all have moved on from the worst of it.

The queue really isn't the problem. The problem is getting kicked from the queue, or the game, with no way to rejoin your spot, or the game after such a thing happens. Instead being force to wait, yet again, hours, to play the game you're paying for.

You know whats BS? Waiting 3 hours in a queue to play. Then getting in. Playing for -THIRTY- minutes. Then getting kicked out. Then having to rejoin a 3 hour queue to play again. There no grace period? Who the (*&(&* CODED THIS CRAP? I'm a -huge- fan of FFXIV. Been playing forever. But this is very infuriating. I've been trying to play all week. Three out of four days I've been kicked with a 90k error, just to have to wait another two hours to get back in. My usual gaming nights have been reduced to staring at a queue number for 80% of it. And its pure insanity.

WHY IS THERE NO GRACE PERIOD?

Yeah the lack of grace period is absolutely wild to me, I actually didn't really realize that there wasn't one til now. Like reasonably I knew it, I've been dc'd before and had the like, token 23 person queue or whatever, but that's basically instant.

Unlike the >2k person queue that I just got kicked into :P

This hasn't even been half as bad as some of the expansion launches I've played through, but it is pretty unfortunate (and kinda funny, in a way), how the problems we ARE having are just making some of the already kinda wonky things (like a lack of DC grace period and a full closure of the game for every single error encountered at login or queue) about this game 50x worse lmao

The only thing SE can do about the afk macro/bot folks is server restarts. They have done it in the past and I would not be surprised if they do it again. That of course creates it's own set of problems.

Like I said it creates it's own set of problems. They have however done it in the past so it is not unlikely to occur
