Let me say this: I have an Aorus RTX 3090 Xtreme and a 10900k sitting at 5.1 all-core. Check your GPU Memory Junction Temperatures and GPU Temperatures using the HWINFO64 program. You'd be surprised to find that the card may be causing issues in the game at this resolution with high framerates.

I recently lost a 3090 Xtreme to New World for this same reason; the GPU attempts to push as many frames as it can right? Doing so increases the heat it outputs, and the 3090 from most vendors (as well as Nvidia's own FE models in some instances!) doesn't have much in the way of helping that besides throttling itself to prevent overheating. I say this because with some research, I found out that my 3090 may have been damaged by unchecked VRM/Memory temperatures.

What I experienced after several random bluescreens and crashes from New World was exactly this; DX11 Crashes in XIV where I'd never experienced them before. Warzone began to crash randomly, WoWErrors became more common and eventually it wound up just kicking the bucket entirely and I had to send it back for RMA (resulting in me buying another 3090 to hold me over, as I stream full-time and can't afford not to stream ^^').

It doesn't hurt to check it out! Don't be like me!

I find that XIV when uncapped I can get 165-300+ FPS in Duty scenarios @ 1440p "Maximum" graphics preset with blur off. This was making my memory hit 88-90c and my GPU running around 75c at 90-100% usage.
