All the maint did was increase the capacity of the lobby servers. That's people waiting in queue. Nothing more.
I've had no lag at all in instances or out, must be a network issue.

I can't resist pointing out that Dec 14th is next week...Hi SE,
I know there is not much you can do due to hardware issue and lack of foresight on this unprecedented growth, but you can undo this change.
Before EM, once I log in, everything is great, not lag at all, feels just like pre EW.
After EM, lags, huge lags in instance. Dungeon, trial etc.
Before EM, I can que, get 2002 and log back in and keep my spot every day expect Dec 14th where I lost my spot once due to chain 2002.
After EM, Everyday I have lost my spot to 2002 kick me from que into unable to connect right after due to another 2002, and had to start over again.
I know what you are trying to do, but it's not working and only made playing experience MUCH MUCH worse.
I think I've only done one 8-player instance (Sri Lakshmi for MSQ) since the emergency maintenance, but I have been running an absolutely ZANY amount of 4-player dungeons for extra gear and xp, and everything is running smooth as butter. Of course, we're not even on the same data center and my anecdotes versus your anecdotes doesn't amount to a hill of beans, but just tossing in my own experiences for whatever they're worth.
I assume they meant to say Dec. 4th
I've had better luck since the maintenance myself. It seems it's all very subjective.I've noticed a significant lag on the couple times I've been able to log in and play after the Emergency Maintenance.
And yes, it seems the problem with getting 2002 booted from a queue, coming back in and being reset to the tail end of it is worse, also after the EM. :-)
Joined an in-progress alliance raid where a bunch of people had d/ced and people were complaining about lag, and after a few minutes I d/ced.
I've had almost zero lag before Endwalker launched. Ever since launch I have had terrible lag. The game is unplayable in trials and dungeons most of the time for me. Nothing at all has changed with my internet. It only had problems the moment EW launched. It's really damaged my enjoyment of the game when I can't do most content. I hope lag gets fixed sometime soon.Hi SE,

I have not noticed particularly much lag on Primal (I'm ... going to wait a while before attempting Gilgamesh lol) as I've been catching up in MSQ, but might be because apart from some roulettes on Tuesday I've only been doing the necessary story duties?
I've actually started to wonder if the goofy way SE set up the duty server contributes to some of these issues. Remember that you are basically world visited to "duty world" whenever you join an instance, so the entire datacenter is piling into the duty server regardless of which world they logged into; then you exit, and you are sent back to your world, except - unlike any other means of entering a World - without any kind of check on whether your world is full that I'm aware of (the zone is checked e.g. the famous Yoshi Eureka Emergency, but I've never seen any kind of bar on leaving duty because the world is full).
Could it be that if the world is packed to the gills, and then someone tries to leave duty (and thus is being admitted to the world) at the same time as the queue is trying to give that spot to a waiting player partly be a contributor?
At the same time, despite the various efforts made to mitigate Raubahn Savage type situations, there's a big spike in duty participation overall as people are spamming dungeons to get Reaper or Sage leveled to use in EW ...
The issue with anecdotal evidence is that we have no actual data to ascertain the accuracy of what's being claimed. Thus, no absolute claims should be made this way.
I personally have had no issues once in game. Not before the maintenance, and not after.
I've had zero lag since Endwalkers launch and no d/c problems besides the queue. Maybe you should check your own ISP. Because sometimes your own ISP can have outages or connection issues.
I've not had any 2002's since the maintenance and from my understanding.. that's all they addressed.. because that's the only real issue we're having. I've not had any issues in game since Early Access began.
