Not everyone can play an MMO. The gameplay and time investment isn't there for everyone.
But everyone deserves to experience the masterpiece that is its MSQ and world.

XIV can effectively be played as a single player game. A lot of the folks currently playing will get through MSQ, finish one job, then say toodles and hop over to whatever AAA game comes out at Christmas. (I know at least half a dozen in my FC alone.) They can let their sub lapse, because they don't own a house.
And that's okay! They get the best part of XIV without the tedious completionism a lot of us force onto ourselves.
They'll come back when the next patch comes out.
But it’s already single player? For me FF14 is as MMO as Diablo2.
If you don't have time to play FFXIV online you won't have time to play it as single player either. It's not like this game requires you to spend hours finding a group worst case scenario is 30 minutes and that doesn't happen often. Even then this expansion and the previous expansion allow you to do most content with NPCs.
This has to be a troll. The request is absurd on every conceivable level.
This is basically a stupid request.
But has some point.. considering how terrible queue situation is.
I could see the game easily being made into a sí gle player game in 20 years when all the servers have long died down, and they re-release it. Trusts could be extended down to the base ARR, raids, and trials, add a local Lan connection option to play with friends, and the game is otherwise pretty much single player.
I actually think this idea has some promise, many many years down the road after FFXIV has gone through its whole lifespan as an MMO, so to speak. Do a remake in the same vein as FFVII, where for all intents and purposes it's basically a new game but it retells the main story in a new way with fresh game mechanics and overhauled combat system. FFXIV has such an awesome world and story that deserves to be preserved and replayed in future generations, but you can't go back and play an ancient MMO in the same way as you can pick up and play the other past entries in the Final Fantasy series.
Once they do it for FFXI then maybe eventually down the line for this game as well. But even the former is still an active MMO after just short of 20 years, so who's to say they'll ever convert them into singleplayer adventures
