Is the queue really not moving after 30 minutes?

3 1/2 hrs in the queue, I get down to 600, 2002, ok, then get 4 more lobby 2002's and now im back to 6k in the queue. I've tried not to complain, i don't mind sitting in a queue really. I do mind getting thrown out of the queue and not being able to get back in and then losing my place in it.

Free to play is probably why this is happening. Subscribed player base should have priority over the FTP "trials".

They literally do.
Trial players are continually shoved to the back of the queue and generally unexpected to play at all honestly.

I feel that the queue got a lot worse today. Previous days I would start at 6k and by 30 min I'd be down to 3.5-3k.

I queued 20 mins ago and I went down from 4k to 3.8k.

This is getting worse by the day and nothing is being done aside from 7 """""FREE"""""" days.

or if the entire server is just AFK bots.

It's a mix of AFK bots, farm bots and some GCBTW people gatekeeping the game so that WoW refugees can't log in. You can check that on reddit.

i had to buy the game right when endwalker came out, wasnt even done with ARR, because Trial players cant even join a queue, and since all, servers.. are in a queue , trial players cant play 'at all'. so thats not the issue

They should have been ready to come online with a dozen new servers before launch.

Yeah, they wanted to. That's the OCE data center they promised us. That's at least a dozen more servers right there, and would alleviate the strain from all the current Australia and Oceania players current on JP and NA. They ordered the servers last spring. But the expected delivery date is not until early 2022.

All enterprise data center server sales currently have a backorder of 12 months or more. Square Enix is suffering through their own version of queue hell.
