Getting kicked back to character select for no reason and it won't let me relogin from there because it says I wasn't logged out properly, forcing me to close the game out completely and then relog in and hope the queue isn't horrible.

Uhh, you just wait for it to log you out, then it puts you in queue automatically. You don't have to quit the game.

And that's just the general "internet disconnect" error. All of the 90k errors are internet instability errors.

Yep, nothing SE can do about the Internet being wonky. 99% of the time it's on your ISP for that.

Those of us on Spectrum know this pain all too well.... Switching to a proper Ethernet port and getting off the wireless internet at home improved mine a lot, but every internet connection is liable to periodic interruptions in service.

not sure why you felt you had to close the game completely.

you just go to character select, wait 5 minutes, grab a beverage or snack, and log back in.

you DIDNT log out properly and for a period of time, you will be sitting in the world with a pokeball over your head until the logout completes. when it completes, you can log back in no problem, aside from the current queues

What happens is when the game kicks you out due to a 90002 error, you're in the lobby but your character is still in the game for about ... 20 seconds I think? So you have to wait 20 seconds or so before logging in again. But I usually just do the same as you and close everything down and relog.

I have had internet issues in the past and it can take up to 5 minutes to completely log you out so you can log back in. these days, hard to say, but it is a bit longer than 20 seconds on a good day, not sure about with congestion tossed in. I'll generally go make tea, a snack, and when I am back it will let me log in again.

I took off work early for a shorter queue. Queue was still AN HOUR. Got a 90002 after 45 minutes. Now the queue is TWICE what I waited through. So I logged in early to avoid a two-hour queue, and I am rewarded with THREE hours of queue for my trouble.

I wouldn't mind the queue if I could at least AFK it, but I can't.
