World Visit queues need rethinking.

Taking this further, I feel like many people aren't exactly aware of how this feature works - primarily, if you're queued to switch worlds, then you can't zone. It won't let you do that while you're in the transfer queue. That means your character must remain in either Gridania, Ul'dah, or Limsa the entire time you are queued - in my case, that meant 13 hours. You can't even zone from lower Limsa to upper Limsa, you are just stuck on the same map the main aetheryte occupies while you wait on your queue. You can't access your retainers, and there's no real "gaming" to be done in these locations, so at that point you're basically limited to chatting at best.

So... why not just cancel the world visit and go actually do some playing? The only one at fault here for waiting in town for 13 hours twiddling your thumbs is you.

I don't know seems to work fine for me except during prime time where I know better than to try right now. And WT is a pretty neat feature letting you visit with friends on other servers. And I'll add they not about to do away with World Visit but are planning on adding Data Center travel. Hopefully that'll happen with 6.1.

I have multiple characters on multiple worlds. I don’t use the world visits and I will never use it for hints because it ruined our hunt community on Goblin.

Many of my close friends and family have made characters on multiple different servers, and I have gone to many of their servers to delivery crafted armor or anything I end up getting from something, I know they want more than I do, such as minion drops. The whole reason we choose the servers we thought sounding cool was due to the server travel feature. If that changes I would hope for a free world transfer at that point to pick which one we all wish to be on. Right now it is more relaxed and each server has their own unique atmosphere to explore as well.

Also I may be missing something, but when I world travel there is no cancel button you are just stuck until happens I never tried to see if I could log out during it though

If you right click the waiting where is shows on your screen where the duty stuff is there is a option to cancel it from there.
