    Another night unable to play due to God awfully long queue times

    White knights need not reply.

    I've read Yoshi P's response, apology, and the free game time. I give respect to him unlike Activision Blizzards nonsense.

    My main problem is this queue issue started months ago. Back when the WoW refugees, including myself, came over to FF14. This is when it all started. That should have been the first red flag to FF14's tech team that the issue should have started to get fixed. Also, the team knows how many people have pre-ordered Endwalker, so even more so, you guys knew the load the servers were going to be under.

    Fast forward to today. Queues upwards of 10,000 on peak times, 2000+ at 4pm EST when I get home from work on the newer server I was recommended to when I first started the game. I am only able to play a couple hours a night during the weekdays due to work. Since early access, I've been unable to log in because of the queue times.

    You guys need to get on this ASAP, because theres nothing more hurtful to a game than having huge issues like not being able to play the game. On top of paying initially for the game, we are also charged a monthly rate. I understand we got free game time because of this, but that's a bandaid fix. We are charged the monthly rate for the servers, maintenance, and upkeep of those servers. With the surge of players, you even more money than usual. There are shortages and there are price raising due to demand. I highly doubt you guys cannot get the hardware needed to fix this issue. It's probably just expensive and you guys don't want to dish out the increase in cost due to demand.

    I enjoy FF14 so much, I would hate to see it get sunk because of something so silly as not enough servers. You guys got tremendous amounts of additional money from all the WoW refugees coming over, hence the crazy queue times. There should be no excuse why this is still an issue. As stated before, you guys had months of warnings that this would be an issue, tons of revenue, yet here we are.

    You know how long you have to wait for a PS5 or a Steam Deck?
    You can double or even tripple that wait time for servers especially if you need an amount to upgrad whole datacenters.
    Even if they ordered in June 2021 they won't get them before June 2022.
    The best you can hope is that the new Oceanic Datacenter will draw some load to make it more bearable, when it finally opens.

    I don't care about PS5's or Streamdecks. Did you receive a PS5 or Streamdeck without a semi conductor? Negative. The early access launched. People with worse queues than myself have been unable to log in due to queue times.
    They had plenty of warning that there would be a tremendous load on the server. The shortage is not an acceptable excuse.

    I took off Friday, woke up at 6am, and no lifed it all weekend? Is that an acceptable reponse?

    Agree, I’ve spent more time in queue since the release than I have playing the game due to both the long queue and the lobby server errors, tonight is another prime example of that, where I had been in Que (3600) for about 2 hours and having received a lobby server error have been booted to the back of a queue now over (5800) long which means I doubt I will get to okay tonight AT All despite having sat in a Que for so far 3 hours and still have over 4400 in front of me despite starting initial at 3600. There was plenty of opportunity to sort this before now as the red flags have been there and there have even been announcements about said flags on occasion. And yet here we are at expansion where they have done nothing to resolve the queue/server/lobby capacities and then wondering why there are so many issues, and throwing a meagre 7 days free play at us (with a caveat it could be increased) but the problem is 7 days free subscription to begin with is not adequate compensation to account for the week of missed play due to cues on top of the paid for game and early access not received and the subscription and then the time I’ve wasted waiting to play the game (which can’t be replaced, so the inability to deal with the issues proactively is costing me time I will never get back) whilst I can’t even do something else while I’m in such a tragically long queue for fear or a server error that boots me to the back of the queue, which has happened anyway…. Frustrated does not adequately explain what I feel to be honest but it will have to do.

    Totally agree. Unlike the juveniles above that find humor in people purchasing a product they are unable to enjoy due to the lack of importance this situation is to SE, they are perfectly fine accepting an inadequate launch and could care less about anyone but themselves. They don't see an issue waiting upwards of 5 hours in queue. People like them are the reason why we consistently see these issues for new games or expansions. There's not enough mature adults stepping up and voicing their opinions about it. When someone does, you get a flood of these white knight SJWs berating you for voicing a concern that would make their experience with the game much better, but would rather pick a fight where there doesn't need to be one.
