This is an issue with players being bad. I've done EX's and dungeons with my static and barely anyone has to GCD heal outside of people eating mechanics.
Find a competent tank and DPS players using their mitigation tools well and see the difference for yourself.

Pretty much this. Had no issues with proper tanks and dps doing their roles. You can even help them when they have 2-3 stacks of vulnerability.

How terrible...A couple people in my static feel that healing has become broken. With the stats squish they feel that they are healing more then DPS in dungeons. I haven't healed yet in 6.0 was leveling RPR to 90 and doing MSQ. Has any other healers feel that they are healing more then they used to and tanks feel more squishy with the big pulls now?
I feel like people forget that the whole healers doing DPS in an MMORPG is a rather new concept. It wasn't too many years ago, in another game, where trying to DPS as a healer would get one chastised by their team mate. This whole "green DPS" is a rather new concept, in the grand scheme of things. This is only a slight shift back toward the previously established status quo. Not something to pearl clutch about.

Actually i can assure you it's not, i was doing damage as a healer/support when playing Lineage 2 back in 2004.I feel like people forget that the whole healers doing DPS in an MMORPG is a rather new concept. To farm efficiently you needed to have at least one of the class healers doing dots or pure damage on mobs.
But then again, Lineage 2 was more complex in support classes versus what we have in ff 14 .

Well thats fine if your experience was different than mine. I distinctly remember being told not to waste mana casting nearly worthless shadow spells in vanilla and TBC WoW. I feel like DPS as a healer did not really take off until well after Cataclysm in that game because of mana and the damage healers dealt being all but useless.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
How many times have I seen players announce that they wanted nothing more than to dedicate themselves to healing above all? How many times have I been called a slyphie (or worse) for saying dps is a privilege not a requirement, and look. The moment healing becomes more challenging someone comes along and asks why their dps time has been cut short. The moment a healer is introduced that is challenging to play, people say it's too challenging.
You'd think after 3 expansions "I want to be forced to spam heal spells more" people woulda figured out it's not gonna happen.
I'm a dps focused healer and I've had absolutely no problems healing this expansion compared to ShB. I'm fitting in plenty of dps as usual. Leveling dungeons always hit hard, trials are easy, nothing new.How many times have I seen players announce that they wanted nothing more than to dedicate themselves to healing above all? It's the sylphies who tend to complain most when healing actually becomes a "challenge". It's not even really a challenge tbh. I'd hate to see the outcry if content ever started requiring serious healing.
