not going afk bot ?

Ok I found a character that was against a tree, mounting and dismounting at the exact same rate for more then 15 min.

Is this a bug or is he using a bot to not go afk ?

Yes, some people are using primitive bots to avoid the AFK auto-kick, though that's liable to evolve into fully functional bots sooner then later.

That guy is probably like: I am above the law! It does irk me that these types of people, that don’t play the game and use macros to stay ingame, have no shame and get away with it.

I don't get why players do it in the middle of the new zones though. It's like they want to get reported for being sus.

I thought about doing that and I've heard other people talk about it aswell. I didnt end up doing it, when I'm afk for that long I dont have time to play/dont want to play anyway. Queue time ease up a bit when that would become relevant for me anyway. I understand however not wanting to get logged out if you need to take care of something irl and then dont want to be subjected to a 5 hour queue again. If SE cant/wont provide enough room for everyone, people are going to set out to do something about it.

It’s not even 5 minutes to download a key sequencer or auto keyboard press program and even a child can set it up, that’s a huge part of the login problem.

I know this from WoW in the old days, then Blizzard added programs like this to the TOS and warden detection and some people actually started to use Lego robots after that.

WoW has a macro code string that prevents auto logout. I dont remember what it is since I quit playing but its been put in deliberatly by the devs. They share this code/macro with streamers and high profile raiders. The more you know.
