    I've seen people mention charges of Hypervelocity before, though they would have to take it off continuation for that to work tbh. Probably even it's own button. Not a bad idea, just would require a lot more work from the dev side. Would be nice cause then you could pocket the Hypervelocity that would normally miss NM and use it in the next NM.

    As luck would have it with our current system you only see Hypervelocity about three times a minute(up to about six? in Bloodfest windows) because you spend a lot more time building gauge than expelling it. So at least for me so far Hypervelocity hasn't really been as much of a hindrance as I thought it would be, but I also thought we were going to be seeing it more outside of NM. Which as it stand now I don't think you ever really do minus burning gauge for non-NM Bloodfest.

    What if Double Down was just tacked on to the end of the Gnashing Fang combo? Then you can go back to 2 cartridges and Double Down is basically free. It's damage would be lowered of course.

    They would need to remain separate as they serve separate purpose. Main example is in large dungeon pulls where you wouldn't even want to use your Gnashing Fang combo till the pack of 6-10 is burned down to approx 4 targets.

    would be cool if they could gave us a second ressource system like a heat gauge that fills up on cartridge use, which you can spend on double down as a finisher

    This would be interesting. Maybe take the max gauge back to two, make the "third" gauge only unlockable by using two gauge spenders. So for AoE you could build and spend two Fated Circles to pay for one Double Down, and for single target you could do Gnashing > Burst > Bloodfest > Double Down > Burst > Burst > Double Down, or something like that. You would have to chop the potency down a bit, but I like the idea.

    I think my only issue with GNB so far is that Hypervelocity feels weak. It looks and sounds great, but the numbers leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. If it is essentially the next step after Burst Strike, it should get a serious potency increase.

    Nah. Wouldn't need to keep them separate. Just make Fated Circle trigger Double Down as well.

    Imo the best option for an immediate fix is to make Double Down cost 1 gauge, buff NM duration to 21-22sec to include a last Hypervelocity, and to not change any potency until it's seen if the damage is still within acceptable ranges.

    For a long term solution I like the idea of building a second gauge through the use of cartridge actions to fund moves like Double Down.

    I thought it would be fine but having played it a bit more, yeah, I'm not really loving the 3 cartridges.

    Feels like I spend too much time building them and not enough time spending them, and it doesn't even feel all that great to spend them as I can't seem to squeeze them all in to my NM window.

    I'm probably doing something wrong that needs fixing, but yeah, so far it seems almost too busy and simultaneously too dull.

    Oof. Though falling into that descriptor would be influenced by some subjective preferences, that does damn near objectively seem the least favorable descriptor to have attached to one's toolkit.
